Currently watching Syracuse put up a worse offensive effort than my Browns did last week (didn't think that was possible). Cortland up 23-6 in the 3rd...........Kean up 7-6 at half....Montclair up 7-0 in the 2nd.......

Curious about Rowan...Apparently people don't think they are as good this year as they may have been in past years. I haven't followed  them much. What positions need more strength?  I saw a post on another board about transfers. Maybe Rowan can pick up some too.

Saw two pretty unique plays in yesterdays Cortland win over TCNJ. Both were big momentum changes. The first one TCNJ scored and attempted the extra point. It was blocked and returned all the way for two points.

The second was a defensive lineman, actually the nose tackle, who dropped into pass coverage and got the pick. He ran it back almost 50 yards to the TCNJ 6. Cortland scored on the next play. Besides the momentum change, nothing beats a big guy running with the ball.

....and that three point swing on the blocked extra point was the difference in the game.

I lost power in the 3rd qtr of Kean/Rowan... Kean up 7-6.  I'm still w/o power at my house.  Bunkering down at a hotel for power, heat, and hot water.  Have natural gas heat, but requires electricity to run the thermostat.

The weather certainly affected the passing game, which I thought Rowan needed to win.

JT,
I feel for you. I know what it's like to rough it. It was 70° here in Texas today and the pool has now dipped to a frigid 74°! Heh, heh, heh...

anyone have any idea who wins the 4 team tie if it happens.  rowan, kean, montclaire, and cortland could all have 2 losses if things play out that way the next 2 weeks.  hope it doesnt go to some silly point differential by opponents against other teams or something like that.  still have the kean - montclaire game on my travel plans in 2 weeks.

Montclair wins out and wins the NJAC. Still have to go to Alliance. Can't beat the buffet. ;)
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

rams, been to alliance twice.  did not make the buffet because i was too busy having a mexican breakfast including frozen margaritas with some of my mount friends.  i will ask them about the buffet, but breakfast burritos made at a mexican restaurant are hard to pass up.

if montclaire does not win out, losing this week then beating kean, who wins the tie breaker.  like your optimism though.

Kean, since they beat you guys. SOS holds out, even though they are a paper tiger. Don't even talk like that.  ;)

Moving to in-laws for now.  Bayonne is close to NYC and I can walk to mass transit.  Power company has a power outage map on the web.  My Dad and Mom are also without power.  If nothing improves in the rate of fixing power lines, we won't have power until 12am Nov. 5th.

The combination of a soaking rain on Thursday, plenty of leaves on the tree, and a wet snow beginning Saturday morning, brought down many branches and subsequent power lines.  It is strange being without power this long.  This stuff usually only happens to Long Island.

Plus the electric grid system is weird.  Next door neighbor has power and so does three of five of the neighbors across the street.

Couple of long extension cords might get you by...we did that once a couple of years ago for our neighbor.  We had power and they didn't.  Ran like three cords to their house to keep the fridge running and other essentials, you know, TV!  Was Summer so heat was not an issue.

Have been meaning to buy a generator for while now.  Just bought a hand crank radio. Will probably get a hand crank pda/mp3/cell phone charger and lantern. Gonna be ready the next time.

dlip a bit frustrated with the Profs loss this weekend. He has been quite wrong about Rowan all year.
