With Brockport being the Dark Horse in the NJAC and now with a new stadium. I have to reconsider if they should be #3 or tied for #2 in the NJAC, especially since they have the teams ranked above them at home.

I had B-Port #3 in my NJAC poll behind Rowan and Cortland. On paper they look good with a lot of starters back. They need to replace their QB. Time will tell. That's why they play the games.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Dlip would flip Salve and Alfred. Salve will be down and Alfred looks to be better than last season. We shall see. Dlip loves when the preseason predictions start!

Pep's Saxons were marred by mid-season injuries in 2012 and, nevertheless, were close to taking the E8 crown...had they jumped on one more fourth quarter fumble at Salisbury. The road weary Saxons the next week limped up to Utica and, in the opening offensive drive that ended in a missed field goal, starters of at least four skill positions were lost to injury.

AU rebounded with wins over Frostburg and Hartwick before falling to a rising Springfield Pride team, on the Saxons' seventh road trip of the year, in an ECAC bowl.

Pep is looking forward to the Red Hawks' visit to Merrill Field....it will be a true test for AU as Pep is fully aware of Montclair State's stellar defense.

Get the fight song ready!

The question is - How many points can we score? The "O" is very Jeckle and Hyde. Now a new QB to emerge.  ::)

The Red Hawks will be the Saxons' second game of the season...the AU defense will be young and still looking to find its way. Will be interesting to see how quickly they come along under Murray's "conducting."

On the other side of the ball, the Saxons will have a new QB but some stellar running backs and some solid WRs. Will be likewise interesting to see if the Saxon O can "tune up" and find a "rhythm" against the Red Hawks.

Get the fight song ready!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!
...Fight, fight for Alfred, A-L-F, R-E-D!

Catch Ball / Red Hawks,

What is the story for the Red Hawks in 2013. I would assume that camp has started. Will they scrimage Lackawana as usual? What about the Red / White scrimage? Cruious minds would like to know. "Keep Pounding".
Hey Rams,
How are you and how's the little one doing ?
Today is the first day of practice with full pads, Lackawanna scrimmage is this Saturday.
The QB is a student at MSU who never played ball at MSU, so he is actually a walk on, not a transfer.

more to follow...Hoping for a great season this year !  I'll  see you at the home opener.

Hi Buddy,

The little one is now 3 1/2. See ya at the Salve Game. What is the poop on the QB? Curious minds want to know. If you want send me an e-mail. Got stuff to do this Saturday, please fill me in on the Lackawana scrimage. Will the Red and White scrimage be next weekend? How is the Newly Wed doing. See ya soon.

The newly Wed is doing fine, but as you know, he is very busy, we have been playing phone tag for the past week. :)
Hopefully I'll have some updates tomorrow.

Gotta love auto-correct.  And curious minds do want to know!  (I presume it's just a Rowan defender)
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

The QB I mentioned last week is a Sophomore who walked on in the spring, looks like he is getting the nod to be the starter. No Red/White Scrimmage

MSU Pride

I was impressed by the QB, he had good pocket presence and had a nice touch on the ball, especially the deep TD pass he threw...Prayers go out to the player from Lackawanna, freak accident on special teams, I had to turn away, his ankle was dislocated facing the other way, like the LB from The Program...I really think, this team has a good combo of vets, transfers and some young pups that will be thrown into the fire early. They are going to make some noise this year, you'll see!

Depending on the talent of those young pups and the leadership of the players, this may not be a good formula for winning the conference. However, it is a good formula for establishing a foundation for year's to come.

Not sure a school could get better publicity...

Today, Yahoo had an item about 4 New Jersey students who walked into a convenience store that was left open and unattended  even though it had closed... security cameras clearly showed the students shopping for items, then going to the checkout area and leaving $$$ that covered all items they took (purchased) though no employees were present....  the video raved about the honesty, and what further caught my eye was that when they were interviewed later, 3 of the 4 wore WP football t-shirts... and I'm assuming that stands for William Paterson!!!

FANTASTIC!!!!

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!
