Congrats to my Dragons!  Best of luck next week down at Montclair. I may have to go down and check it out if I don't hit Six Flags for Fright Fest.
Taste It!

Weekend wrap up- already had my rant on MSU.

Rowan vs Brockport- back and forth game. Once again B-port can't seem to win tight games. Schedule still plays in their favor and they are still right in the race unless they drop an egg vs WP next week.

Morrisville vs WP- Is the box score for total yards right even with that high of a score? lol. Morrisville 795 yards to WP 592 yards. WP goes up 28-0 at home and cant close out the game has to be a let down for them. Could be another shoot out with B-Port next week.

Cortland vs Kean- Cortland takes care of business at home. 2 road game at MSU and B-Port with TCNJ at home leading up to the Rowan game in Glassboro on 11/2 which I think will determine the automatic bid.

Upcoming week: We will find out if TCNJ is a quality team when they play Kean and if Morrisville can put something together vs Rowan at home. Cortland is at MSU. Not expecting alot from the Hawks but it will be their homecoming so it should help alittle.

Best case scenario for 2 bids for NJAC would be for Cortland to be 8-2 beating Rowan for the auto bid leaving Rowan at 8-2 with losses vs Cortland and at Del Val for a Pool C Bid.

I agree that is the best chance to get two bids for the NJAC...but with shrinking Pool C bids, I don't see it happening.  Even though I will take a three loss NJAC team over any one-loss NEFC team in a heartbeat.

So..who's worse...Montclair or the NY Giants ? Sorry..couldn't resist Northern NJer s who root for Montclair.
Seriously..Montclair needs some fresh perspectives on their offenses. IE new offensive coaches and ideas. Stale. Giancola must be loyal to a fault.

We just have to keep pounding away, just like Sam Mills said, Keep Pounding... The silver lining is this, we are a young team and have had multiple opportunities to win every game, we held Rowan to 7 points and last week Davies the young QB had his best game of his career thus far. There are many freshman and sophomores who are not only contributing but starting to make their mark. I firmly believe we can turn this around, this weekend is going to be a slugfest, our team will be ready to play, you will see them swarming to the football on defense. Cortland is going to load the box which will give the QB multiple opportunities for one on one match ups and I look for our young and very quick WR to win those battles, this thing will turn around!!

Very True, I think at this point, you have to continue to prepare for the future of the program and allow the younger player to gain valuable experience which will lead to better execution and lesser mental mistakes. Also, since most of the games this year has been close, they can use that as a big confidence booster as the season progresses and for off-season/pre-season.

Friday night Fright Fest..TCNJ at Kean.
TCNJ could pull the "upset" (Kean is 1-3) on the road.
Kean's offense is as equally pathetic as Montclair's . TCNJ has a solid D so far.

Rowan at Morrisville tomorrow looks interesting. Mor is 2-2 and Row 3-1. Morr has a solid looking offense and Rowan's D will be a huge test.

Brock at willp. Will P's d is usually stout. Not this year so far. Look for Bports offense to have a good day in a close win. Both under .500

Cort at Montclair in the Red Bowl. Both are "down" this year. Look for C st to win close on the road despite Montclair's tough D. Montclair's O continues to be an anchor on the program.

Tomorrow is homecoming, these boys will be fired up, for all who are attending, we can no longer tailgate in the train station across the street, it is permit parking from the town of Montclair, to many people complained. The tailgate will be at the top level of the red hawk deck, all of the MSU football alum will be up there putting back a few cold ones, parking is free tomorrow fyi.

Hey look..I was right. TCNJ 7-0 over Kean.

phil

When Kean plays Montclair the field will look like it's 1,000 yards long to both offenses. Never imagined TCNJ could lose to FDU Madison and beat Montclair & Kean.

Rowan loses at Morrisville. I didn't have the guts to call upset. Just said "look interesting". Rowan drops 41 points.

Bport pounds will P. What they usually do. Lose games and then take their frustrations out on lesser teams.

But..on the road and with a new QB and new RB...678 total yards offense...438 rushing (8.3 yards a carry) and 240 passing. New TB had 293 yards rushing and over 9 yards a carry. Yikes.
Not sure what happened to Nichols or Stoldt. Mrozek still looks hurt.
