When I made the trip to see the Rowan v Fisher game, I tailgated with the Doctors who were heckled by a few Rowan fans as they walked thru the parking lot of Haffey.
At halftime when we returned to our festivities, those same said prof fans were leaving to go back to NJ.
A certain Doc, who will be nameless, asked if they were enjoying their time in Rochester.....Needless to say the response rhymed with pluck you......
Stay classy!
Good times!

In (somewhat) defense of the Rowan fans, I have been to several of the Rowan home playoff games (and a WU/Rowan game).
I have met several of the Rowan posters from past, and found them to be welcoming and nice, despite their board behavior...
In fact, I was fed by one of them, as they invited me to their tailgate, and desite being an "enemy", I was welcomed by the whole group.
I still root for them to lose though... ::)

How is JT doing by the way?  Anyone?

I agree Kelly, but my two best friends and the Godparents to my kids attended Rowan so I was being benevolent.

bman- like all fans there are most great and some bad...
They were having a bad day and couldn't take the ribbing that was given to us upon entering the parking lot.
Their exit was priceless however!
I distinctly remember a version of "We like it here" sung as they walked out of sight!

Phil: have you and the family adjusted to life in Texas? Have come to enjoy the summer weather in Houston? Have come to relish Tex-Mex cooking and real barbecue? And do y'all now sport bumper stickers saying, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could"?  :)

Advise soonest ....

phil

Ummmm .... No! 'cept for BBQ. I'll tell you what, I got a hankerin' for that.
You should track me down on Facebook to see what I've been up to.
My 2 girls are playing fastpitch softball year round in a town who's high school won the ESPN national championship a couple years ago. The youngest one is on a select/travel team playing 150 games/year.
Tho' I do miss our Annville breakfasts!

I understand, phil.  :) Sounds like your girls keep you plenty busy. I have four kids (two boys and two girls). The youngest (boy) just finished his senior football season. We have power-lifting left and that will be the end of high school sports for me. However, since he is 6'1" and 275 pounds, we might be joining the college ranks again. My oldest son played at Louisiana College (that's him in the forum pic).

So good to see Warren. :)

Hey Phil!  You need to move to North Canton, OH.  Just sayin'......  ;D

Kelly,
High school seems a long way off. I'm enjoying every day of the journey. My daughter who's playing travel ball and 150 games / year is ... wait for it ... eight years old. When we called to find out about joining her current select team (which was 40 miles from our house), the coach told us that he's seen our daughter play before and she was on the team. Scary. Her team is currently 25-1 and ranked sixth in the country. Only loss was to a team (we had beaten 9-1 the same weekend), from Louisiana that was full of girls aging out. Sounds like you'll be doing some college football road trips next season!

Pat,
I used to go to Hershey, Pa. on a guys golf trip once a year. 36 holes/day, 20+ guys, and enough stories from on and off the course to last the year ... but I always skipped the first 18 holes of every trip to have breakfast with Warren. It was always a special part of the trip. Miss those days now that I'm in Texas.

Skunks,
Not unless your weather improves considerably in the winter vis-a-vis South Texas.

Just sent him a note...and a LinkedIn invite...I used to have his number, but lost it over the years.  It looks like he is doing well.   JT made a mean bowl of Jumbalaya....great for tailgating.  Not sure if he or DrXGSC tailgates anymore...since they haven't had a home playoff game in a while, I haven't seen them.

Kelly Boggs

phil,

It sounds like your daughter has quite a future ahead on the softball diamond. Enjoy it every minute of it, it goes fast.

I hope everyone has a meaningful Thanksgiving!
