Taking a lot of pride to be a Dragon fan these days. Never thought losing to Morrisville would have been possible. Never imagined losing 2 games we did over the past 2 weeks. Coach MacNeill is very much on top of things. So uncharacteristic of these guys. Just not our year, even with 20 returning starters from last year.

Has he lost the locker room--for this year at least? I mean, those two losses were one thing. But they were coming off a bye. I just don't see how they lose that. Though missing John Babin probably isn't helping.

So, after an interesting weekend of football, who is the NJAC favorite today. I still think Rowan can make a case, I think if they can beat a down Cortland State, they will be in a good position to win. However, I am unsure on how to look at Morrisville State, I don't know what to expect, but they continue to do the unexpected, with putting up points and beating both Cortland and Hartwick, however struggling against a St. Lawrence team which loss to Norwich. Or maybe this is the year for the Red Hawks to get back in the mix of things, we shall see over the next month. As for the Kean matchup against UMHB, I had to turn it off by the middle of the second, that game was worst than TCNJ vs. Whitewater.

I would not buy into Morrisville yet. The defense is pretty lousy. I mean, they allowed Greg Bell to run for 331 yards. In his other two games, he has 17 carries for 28 yards. The offense is there, but will they stop good teams?

Hey Kean fans, how is Stefan Juste? I know he had to be helped off the field and hope that he is ok. Just checking in on the young man and pray he is ok and on the mend, let us know how he is doing, your return team was impressive. Thanks

When you lose by 66 points sometimes the other team has to scrape to find a compliment. Well done...

Does Cortland have a shot against Rowanthis week? Been a very sad football season thus far.

I feel they do, they are not out of the playoff hunt yet...this would be a perfect game to bounce back. They just had a very tough September, hopefully October can be different.

Cortland's talented enough that they should be in most of their games, even if John Babin isn't playing. Dylan Peebles has been fantastic for them. But man, I don't think I can buy into Cortland completely until they win a game. They had a chance last week to hit the reset button on their entire season, and they trailed Morrisville from the opening drive. I just can't get my head around that. Rowan's 1-2 but their losses were to Widener and Wesley. Tough sledding

The Rowan loss to Wesley was real bad.  No first downs until half way thru the 3rd.  They also only scored 7 against Widener.  The offense is not very good so Cortland should be in the game as it will likely be low scoring.  2 teams who are not playing up to expectations at this point.  Someone season is likely left to playing spoiler after this weekend.

Very true. Conversely, one of the great things about D3 football and the conference "system" is that the winner puts themselves into a position in which their post-season dreams are alive, even though they are off to a disappointing start.  It's one of the most fun aspects of games across the nation the first weekend in October. Most every team still has an opportunity to make something special of the season.

Cortland has either given up or they're just playing possum for Cortaca. They get obliterated 38-14 at home by Rowan. They better get something going soon, because this season could get really ugly

XREDDRAGON77

Already ugly!  Been 21 years or so since something like this has happened in Cortland.

Nice win for the Red Hawks yesterday, sound football, some of the younger players are really starting to make some positive contributions!
