Awsome job Red Hawks being ranked #23 in the D3 Football Top 25 Poll.  ;)
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

rams, good chance I am making the trip to Montclaire this weekend to see the game.  I will be in touch later this week to confirm.

Winner take all this Saturday for the NJAC with Morrisville at MSU. Morrisville would be completely eliminated with a loss with MSU having a slim chance at Pool C with a loss. Looking ahead to the playoffs I find a hard time seeing the winner of the NJAC getting anything higher than a 4 seed barring any upsets.

Way too early East region seeding (based on UWW in the west, Mt. Union in the North, Wesley in the East and MHB in the south as 1 seeds)

1. Wesley
2. Hobart
3. MAC winner if they finish 10-0
4. NJAC winner or SJF
5. SJF or NJAC Winner
6. NEFC or ECFC
7. ECFC or NEFC
8. MAC runner up at 9-1

I don't see the east getting a true 1 seed even with Hobart's and the potential MAC team having a high ranking as well. Interesting if next year Wesley becomes a true east team being in the NJAC. I would say there is a clear divide between the top 3 and 4-8. I put the 2nd MAC team at 8 simply because of travel and avoiding a MAC rematch in the 1st round.

But with the NCAA, this can be all blown up with 4 teams being in the east (hobart, sjf, ecfc, nefc) and 4 in the south (2 MACs, NJAC winner and wesley)

Empire 8 title will be decided on the field Saterday when St. John Fisher (7-1, 5-1) hosts Ithaca (6-2, 5-2) at Growney Stadium. While most are expecting the Cardinals to win, the Bombers are not going down without a fight. Stranger things have happened. This is the Empire 8(9), after all.

Traditionally Wesley has been grouped in the South but I could see them land in the East given the soon to be alignment w/ the NJAC. We discussed on the show last night whether HOB would benefit from body of work vs SoS in a comparison to DVC and WID.

The MAC teams have the same W/L mark but much better SoS and DVC has a nice win over a sure to be RRO in Montclair from Wk 1.

I don't think the regions are going to be as clear cut regarding seeding teams due to travel limitations and other factors. I am always in favor of cross cutting teams to other regions, it just helps with giving clear indications on how teams look nationally, which also may help the committee in the future (since they use historical data) when deciding pool c teams.

After watching that Giants debacle last night and feeling bad that I'll never get those hours back in my life...................I'm starting to think that Montclair could give the Giants and the Jets a good game. The New Jersey professional teams are dreadful...........at least the New York team, the Bills, are respectable ;)

Pep would like nothing more than his alma mater taking a share of the NJAC crown this Saturday and grabbing its first ticket to the dance.

Go Mighty Mustangs!!! 120-60 "Keep Hammering!!"   ;)

AuPepBand, I'm assuming the "Keep Hammering" comment is in response to the quote I and Rams always say, just know, we say that in honor of our fallen brother, Sam Mills who played at Montclair State. Sam succumbed to intestinal cancer in 2003 while coaching for the Carolina Panthers, while he was going through his chemo therapy he gave a speech to the team before their game against the Cowboys and kept saying the phrase "keep pounding". After he passed, the Keep Pounding foundation was set up in his name which Montclair state is an extension of along with the Carolina Panthers. I know it's all in good fun, but we take this very seriously, I'm assuming you had no idea why we say that, so now you know.

Pep apologizes and regrets his insensitivity to your respectful remembrance of a fallen hero. Pep had forgotten the source of that saying and certainly had no intent to be disrespectful. Please forgive Pep.

Hoping the Mustangs and Red Hawks have a good game on Saturday. Pep applauds the rise of the Red Hawks from last year's struggles to its rightful spot in contention for the NJAC title and AQ.

Pep, It's "Keep Pounding". No offense taken. You are a class act.  ;) Should be a good game. The QB from M-Ville is one heck of a player. The only team that had his number was Rowan. I think they shut out M-Ville.

rams, are you going to game?  stupid question.  Are you tailgating?  stupid question.  I am 90% sure I am heading your way to see the game this weekend.  Give me info on all things Saturday.

Rams, whats your take on the regional rankings?

I'm a NEFC/MASCAC guy and even I think you guys got hosed with your ranking, especially with a common opponent win against Fram and a higher SOS.

What's likely causing this is the problem with MIT and their common result with MSU.  I don't agree with that creating this odd relative ranking, but I'm just trying to guess why this might have happened.  The SOS difference between MIT and MSU with the MSU RRO result should have been a huge boost to MSU relatively, but it apparently isn't enough to outweigh a loss and a poorer performance against Salve Regina.

My rankings would be :

1.Hobart
2.Widner
3.Fisher
4.Del-Val
5.Montclair
6.St.Lawrenc
7.Ithaca
8.Framingham
9 . Lycoming
10.Rowan
10.MIT

I think the NCAA is political and. Frugal. We still have 2 weeks to go. ;)

As far as Salve it was our second game, we lost the year before, but a w is a w. A big game against M-Ville this Saturday against a great running QB.
