Kinda new to all the teams in this year's NJAC. I had to do some research on Ben Knapp. Now that I know the story and who his dad is, I can say congrats and know a little bit about what I'm talking about! This is awesome! It is young men like this that make me realize we are going to be ok. The next generation has our back!

Just a little news coming in from the NCAA...

The NCAA has passed new rules on what will be a countable opponent beginning this season.  For a game to count for NCAA record, the opponent must either be a member of the NCAA, NAIA, or the NCCAA OR be a university that is regionally accredited by one of the six regional bodies along with being a 4 year institution.  This will take effect on August 1st.

Based on information from the NCAA and NAIA about colleges that fail those requirements and some digging by the Reddit College Football board, it would appear 2 games involving NJAC teams will not count in official NCAA records this season.  The two are Wesley v Virginia University of Lynchburg and Southern Virginia v Redemption Christian College (both do not meet either the membership or accreditation requirement).

All the best to all of you in the NJAC in the season ahead.

Not surprising.  VUL games have been anything but relevant in advancing Wesley's cause through the years.

13, finishing up seventh grade next week.  Just finished up her rec softball season, she was a long jumper on the middle school track team, she is the starting center on her AAU basketball team.  She had the trumpet solo on It's a Wonderful World" with the chorus last week and played Taps at my VFW District 3 convention during our memorial service.  And she keeps making the principles honor roll every marking period.  I really can't complain about her at all.
