We lost a ton of experience at LB and Sosthene was one of the best athletes in Division III in all aspects including speed, but as much as I loved Maginnis, Wescott and Capetola, speed definitely wasn't their forte.  This defense has much more speed across the board than last year.

For the offense, Baynard I'm sure will be used more and hopefully Kyle George doesn't have the drop issues he had last season at times.

The quiet before the storm baby!!!! Looking for my squad to swarm, i'm talking 11 hats on the ball...

Awfully quiet since last Saturday's upset.......did you go into the witness protection program? :)

Does Montclair buck up after last Saturday's upset or does it throw their season for a loop? An ex-Aggie on the Red Hawks roster says that it was a devastating loss and they were still feeling it at practice this week. With what still looms on the schedule, the many experienced players need to lead in a big way or this season of great promise could end as quickly as it started. Best of luck!!

I had a lot of hopes for Kyle George last year.  It just didn't happen for him.  The year prior was quite the opposite.  He carries a lot of size at the TE spot and he played really well after Sean McAndrew graduated.  I hope that he will be back again this year and you know Callahan will need him playing his best.

Definitely a tough loss. I thought we should have won going into the game, but Montclair has a habit of doing this in the first game. This is not the old NJAC. Now we have Salisbury, Rowan, CNU, Wesley, Frost, TCNJ, Willy P and the rest. Strap Em up Boys. It won't get any easier. If you want it bad enough you will do it. Beat Salisbury then Rowan and things will get better.  ;D
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

I think that you guys have Salisbury, as a middle-of-the-pack Albright team came back to beat them last week. It's going to be tough to move the ball against Rowan, but they are pretty one dimensional themselves on offense. Two critical weeks for the Hawks!

Huge win for Wilkes.  I am both surprised and not.  It's not uncommon for a team to "bounce" after a huge win, and I can see how it would be easy to look past Wilkes who hasn't been ultra competitive the last few years.
Also, the MAC is like the NFC East, where your record doesn't always matter.  There are usually a few surprise results yearly.
Del Val is young.  They are likely to have more than a few ups and downs...

This result doesn't look good for Montclair.  Wilkes has never been known for a stout defense.  Del Val only scoring 7 with 0 - 5 in red zone a week after they put up 27 against Montclair.  It looks like the East may be filled with a couple of strong teams and many good but not great ones.  This week will be interesting to see if teams can rebound from tough/bad lossses.

En route to Frostburg! Looks like it will be a dreary wet day. We will see who steps up in the opener

wesleydad

fumbled punt saved by a frostburg penalty only to be fumbled after a good return and frostburg gets the ball back.

wesleydad

brutal start for Wesley.  Defense stops Frostburg again.  Baynard fumbles the ball after a nice run on second down and Frostburg has the ball again near midfield.

Teamski

Incredible.  Three fumbles, two lost in the first quarter by Wesley.  Gah!   ::)

At least the defense is crushing Frostburg.
