Just planned out my season, here it is.

GAMES FOR 2016
WEEK 1   DEL VAL AT WESLEY ON FRIDAY         ROWAN AT WIDENER ON SATURDAY
WEEK 2   FROSTBURG AT WESLEY
WEEK 3   MONTCLAIRE ST AT SALISBURY AT 1200         WESLEY AT CHRISTOPHER NEWPORT AT 600
WEEK 4    OFF, TRIP TO RENFAIRE
WEEK 5   HAMPDEN SYDNEY AT BRIDGEWATER
WEEK 6   SALISBURY AT ROWAN
WEEK 7   WESLEY AT KEAN
WEEK 8   WESLEY AT ROWAN
WEEK 9   MONTCLAIRE ST AT WESLEY
WEEK 10   WESLEY AT SALISBURY
WEEK 11   DEL VAL AT WIDENER
WEEK 12   PLAYOFF GAME      HOPEFULLY WESLEY
WEEK 13   PLAYOFF GAME      HOPEFULLY WESLEY
WEEK 14   PLAYOFF GAME      HOPEFULLY WESLEY
WEEK 15   PLAYOFF GAME      HOPEFULLY WESLEY
WEEK 16   STAGG BOWL      HOPEFULLY WESLEY

The double header in week 3 is doable if I leave the Salisbury game in the 4th quarter.  I can get to CNU in under 3 hours from Salisbury.  It is in the plans, but as usual things may change.  Need to get to Bridgewater this year to hopefully see my Stone Station friends.  Plenty of nice games to see with a couple of walks to Widener to keep the mileage down.  If one of the playoff games means another trip to Mount, yes I will be crazy enough to go again.  I am pretty sure that I will be returning to the Stagg Bowl after a 2 year hiatus.  Time for a little football.

I may go to the Widener/Rowan game.   If the weather is bad, I definitely will be there (because the wife won't be dragging me elsewhere...).   If so, I'll be wearing the black Nebraska hat with the Red N...

bman, you are in bad shape then, mid 70's and sunny for early forecast on Saturday.  I will put on the Wesley 13 jersey so I am easy to find.

Good luck to Joe Callahan tonight in his preseason start against Kansas City...hope he continues his impressive run right on to the 53 man roster against all odds.....

This will be the last opportunity to see him in action for some time, whether he is added to the roster or assigned to the practice squad.  Not to be missed!

Salisbury to CNU is over 3 hours drive in good traffic....and there is no such thing as good traffic in Hampton Roads. You will have to miss a part of one of the games. Be safe!
How many peeps are coming? I can grab some tickets.

I expect we will see a lot of Jamar Baynard on Friday night as well as a lot of passes that get WRs Bryce Shade and Alex Kemp in open space. Robert Wiggs adds even more speed to that mix.

Researched a few interesting transfers on Wesley's roster:
QB Khaliiq Burrows who I think is from a JUCO school
DB Nick McDaniels from Merrimack
TE Ameer Watson from Del State
OT Darren Helwig from Del State

I defended Wesley when a few people were calling them the "Rowan of the 90's". NOBODY will ever get the trophy from K.C. Keeler and how he landed the DI, DI-AA and D-II transfers back in the day!! :)
Those are hardly powerhouses that they came from either, I believe Helwig (a local from Smyrna) and McDaniels are the only two starting on that list.

The only big D1 transfers I can remember at Wesley were Marcus Wilson (Iowa) and Ellis Krout (Oregon).

Halftime in the Packers game. Joe Callahan is 11-17 for 121 yards and a TD. He was 11-14 going into the drive before half. He had a really nice drive with two big gainers before the TE fumbled at the 10.

And Nick Falkenberg huh? It'll be interesting to see what he brings to the table. I figured Kesack was the frontrunner. It's intriguing... neither one comes with the hype of a McSweeny or a Joe Callahan. Del Val has always played Wesley tough, so I do not really know what to expect tomorrow night.

Just picked up Kickoff.  Plenty to read.  Wesley seems to be prepared to handle the loss of Callahan.  Whichever QB starts they need to not turn the ball over and let the play makers do what they do.  I will be interested to see how the defense does.  They left some things to be desired last year and I hope that the LBs play better.  Looking forward to the game Friday.  Since Del Val tends to be a thorn in Wesley's side, I don't see Wesley blowing them out.

I'm taking Wesley 38-17. DelVal's offensive line is a weakness against Wesley's d line and nobody can cover Wesley's stable of receivers. Shade will be the next Garcon/Shorts.........if not, the next Rasheed Bailey in my opinion.

Cnu, I will let you know as it gets closer, probably just me since my dad told me last night that he thought I was crazy.  I figure the Salisbury game may not be that competitive and leaving early may not have me miss much.

Jason, if I make the trip I will also be staying over since a 5 hour return trip at 9 at night after an all day double header would probably not be very smart.  I know there is a, or used to be, nice restaurant with a large beer selection in the mall near CNU.  85 will probably know the name if it is still there.  BWW is also close to the school.  We will be able to find something good.

Shade is one hell of a player, but he lacks the size that Shorts and Garcon has.  Beavers had the same problem.  He was able to return a kickoff return for New Orleans in the preseason and showed blistering speed, but due to the lack of size, he didn't have the flexibility to play all of the different roles the NFL demands. Some small guys can get away with that.  But it is rare. Desmond Howard comes to mind at 5' 10".

With how well Wesley finished up against 16th ranked Albright last week, if they can keep mistakes to a minimum (which looks possible with what I saw last week) they should be able to contain Del Val.  That said, it really is a fine line between a blow out and a loss with a couple critical mistakes .....

I agree with you. Montclair should have the game well in hand by end of the 1st half.  ;D
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.
