Montclair won, 25-15. Poor showing in my opinion. FDU has won 4 games since 2013, and they are no better this year than years prior -- at least according to what I'm hearing out of Madison.

MSU had a poor performance at QB, the bright-spot being the RB #23 who rushed for almost 200 yards and had a big reception for a TD. This isn't going to be enough to even scathe SU unfortunately. Without a legitimate passing threat SU's defense will plug up the run game. SU has a decent front, extremely athletic linebackers, and a run-of-the-mill, yet under-sized, secondary.

I think we'll see a repeat of last year's match-up next week, a la, a 46-14 game.

I just read something on the MAC board. Can somebody confirm for me that Mailk Pressley transferred to Mount Union? He was an accounting major! A debit is a debit and a credit is a credit at any college or university. It makes me appreciate DelVal's Rasheed Bailey even more. So much could be said here........but I will refrain!! ;)

Yes, he transferred and is on MU's 2016 roster.

I'm not sure what Malik's situation was. I doubt he was poached; he probably just didn't want to lose games and felt like he had to talent to play in purple.

Looks like Wesley is going to have to put a game together to silence the many doubters as to how good they will be this year.  Hopefully a QB has been chosen and will be allowed to play the entire game and the offense will be more creative than it was last week.  Some think that Frostburg may pose a tough challenge, not sure about that, but the game will be interesting to watch.  See you at the game.

MSU Pride

The QB you saw at Montclair is the future of the program, he was a stud at Walington, transfered to DePaul, won a state championship and was a preferred walk on at the University of Pittsburgh, I think his dad played in the NFL and brother plays at Army. That said, he's a young transfer, with the height, size, smarts and a big arm, MSU had one scrimmage and a few weeks of camp so there will be a learning curve, he threw a 45 yard gem that was dropped for what would have been an easy TD. In addition, our beloved Coach O'Conner retired last year, we do have a new offensive coordinator, once again little bit of a learning curve for the returners. In my opinion MSU needed a game like this to see who is going to step up when their back is against the wall and to force them to play as a team, which they ended up doing. There is much talent, young talent on the both sides of the ball, if they can come together, MSU will be able to compete next week....PS our RB is an absolute stud, he had over 300 all purpose yards last night, should be considered for offensive player of the week

Hi Fred,

I hope all is well with you. I only have 1 disagreement with your post. O'Conner, you mean run right, run left and pass on 3rd is gone and it is a good thing. The balance of your post was spot on. What little I saw of the video the offense looked effective. Not the same SOS as the past years. Our QB 6-3 and 225# Frosh is a great addition. Our RB with 305 all purpose yards is awesome. He should make Team of the week. What little the stupid video showed impressed me of our Red Hawks. I agree that FDU is not a good team, and we may have been able to score at the end but took 3 knees. This is a team that will contend like the old days in the near future. To be honest I was losing interest in Red Hawks and now my interest is back. ;D I think my new name for our QB will be the Polish Rifle. See ya at the Rowan game. I think we will be 6-4 / 7-3.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

No doubters on this end. They run the table from here. Far, far too much talent on both sides of the ball to be that affected by the loss of a QB. Will finish 9-1. Will be back in the Top Ten by the end of the year and will be a two or three seed in the playoffs. Will not beat Mount Youngstown, University of Wisconsin or Linfield nor will they ever lose to the same team twice in one season. That would be heresy!!!

Rams - Glad that you got the D-1 QB transfer.........just don't become the "Rowan of the 90's/early 2000's". The inside scoop from back in those days is mindboggling. Where are all of the Rowan posters on the NJAC Board?

The Kean @ BSU game is not going how I imagined in. Score is 10-7 at the half.

The CNU @ HSC at the end of the first quarter, 3-7.

I have video of the Wesley & FSU game, but not statistics -- not even what quarter it is. Wesley's defense is looking stout.

Frostburg just sounds all out of sorts on defense.... dark horse, sure....

CNU85

What a game. Listened on the Internet while working in yard all day. After a back and forth first half, CNU made some adjustments and won 45-27. Allowing only 6 points in second half. Congrats to KJ...set record for passing yards at CNU. Went 24-30 for 355 yards, 2 TDs and also ran for 2 TDs. Defense has a pick 6 for second consecutive game.

You read it here first (above). One down and eight to go for Wesley to run the NJAC table, finish 9-1 and get that #2 or #3 seed. Never a doubt (again, above, before the Frostburg game) ;)
