I know it is only week 3, but this conversation came up Saturday night after the game with a few Wesley fans....what's the tie-breaker system for the NJAC? I heard one of the tie brekaers (3-way perhaps?) is points scored in the first half. Is that true? Will Wesley try to dump 80 points on SVU by halftime if that's the tie breaker? How do teams factor in tie breakers in game planning?

Anyone know?

Dudes, three-way tiebreakers are probably like a top 3 conversation on any board across the entire division.  Nobody does it the same way, and 100% of three way tiebreak rules are ultimately distasteful.  In the Team A beat Team B beat Team C beat Team A scenarios, it ALWAYS comes down to something ludicrous like score margins (CCIW) or yards gained or some such nonsense.  It's always interesting though to see how different conferences put those rules together.  If you find the NJAC procedure published somewhere, please link it.

Oh that's wild.  They let the NCAA's math decide for them?!  The NCAA is wrong on that stuff often enough that it's borderline malpractice to give your tiebreaker over to them.  But like I said, 100% of these things end awkwardly.  There's just not a good way to deal with three team tiebreaks.

I found this from 2010. I'm not sure it still applies

That be crazy, your opponents opponents winning percentage.  Going out on a limb here, in a 3 way tie it would seem Wesley will have the advantage if Del Val beats Albright, since Salisbury has Albright and both Del Val and Albright are in the same league so they play the same teams.  CNU may be worse since they have Hampden who is in the ODAC and they had a bad OOC record this year.  I figure the Del Val league was better.  Why not just the opponents winning percentage?

Wesleydad,

Is this your non football, brownie point weekend?

Wesleydad,

It was supposed to be but my wife forgot and made plans so I may take in a game, Widener is at home and Del Val plays Albright.  Widener is a 10 min walk, Del Val a 40 min drive, but the much better game.  Will decide tomorrow.

I hate it when the wife makes plans and then I have to go watch football. (The really bad part is that you are not off the hook for brownie points....payback will be inconvenient)

As an NJAC guy now........don't forget Rowan at Montclair, especially if you have a blank "honey do" list!! ;)

Can you guys have your wives call my wife? Would love to go to Del Val/Albright, but going to Steelers/Eagles Sunday. Probably shouldn't push my luck.

Thanks to CNU for the refreshments last Saturday,

with a short walk or short drive, 2 hours to montclair is not an option, plus I dont think that game is as good as Del Val/Albright.

Just a minor correction on the bolded section ... it was a miserable, gag-inducing OOC record this year.  :-[
