Check out the season JCU had in 2013.  They absolutely dominated their schedule, even moreso than they did this year.  Their sole regular season loss was by a single score to Mount Union in the final week.  Then the following week St. John Fisher went to their house and beat them in the first round of the playoffs.

It's certainly within the realm of possibility that Wesley do the same thing, should they advance against Stevenson.

I agree.  The big thing will be that it is not Mount Union and all the mystique that comes with the name.  John Carroll is just John Carroll.  Either team, Wesley or Stevenson, should believe they can win the next game.

Sorry CNU fell off like it did.  They certainly deserved a better fate.

Really kind of uncertain as to how capable this year's version of Wesley will be considering they finally established a starting QB in week 8. Falkenberg has some confidence now, which IMO he was lacking in the start of the season vs. Del Val. The defense also ended the season on an upswing with a great 3 1/2 quarter showing vs. Salisbury and overcoming early hiccups early vs. WP.

Looking at Stevenson's loss to Wilkes, it seemed like Wilkes was able to throw at will, and Stevenson never really established the run. I will feel comfortable if Wesley can get the ball to their receivers in space.

Looking forward to a Playoff game this week, saw Wesley at Salisbury, and they impressed me, what is the main thing they need to do this week to win ?

Avoid turnovers.  Stevenson had less than 200 yards against Del Val and won 19-0.  An interception return for TD and a short field TD off of a fumble, I believe.  I saw them play Widener and the offense is ordinary.  They are not great at the run or pass.  I think they will have trouble covering Wesley's receivers and also think that Wesley will be able to run the ball well enough that Stevenson will have to worry about both.  They have good special teams so Wesley will have to be on top of that and with the short rosters for the playoffs some guys will be doing it for the first time all year.  I don't think Stevenson gets into the 20's without turnover help and I don't think they will be able to keep Wesely under 24-28 since they gave up 30+ to Wilkes and I am pretty sure that Wesley has a more potent offense than Wilkes does.

I fully agree.  This feels like another one of those games that if Wesley keeps mistakes to a minimum, they will win.  However, poor play will result in a loss.  Keep Stevenson in the game and you will have trouble when that 4th and long with 29 seconds left pops up.  I am excited to see Stevenson for the first time. It is always a good thing to see a new opponent.

Pretty boring thread for a playoff week.  Guess not much to talk about or no worries.  I think Wesley, unless they go on the turnover/penalty binge, wins this game.  I expect Wesley to be able to throw the ball and run the ball, maybe not as well as they have during the season, enough to make things tough on Stevenson.  Stevenson looks to have been very opportunistic during the season with several defensive touchdowns.  On offense, in the Widener game, they showed a running game that broke a long run, but looked average most of the game.  Looking at box scores they have been able to throw the ball in some games and not so well in others.  I was surprised that they were held under 200 yards by Del Val.  They have strong special teams from what I recall in the Widener game.  All in all, Wesley wins this one, 31 - 14.

It's gonna be another AWESOME football weather weekend in Dover.  Partly cloudy with a high of 67.  Come on!  When was the last time you have seen a Wesley first round game with those stats?  Wesley plays well in weather like that.

Heading to Wesley for today's playoff game against Stevenson.  Turnover free and Wesley wins this game by 14 - 17.  Turnovers and the game will be much closer than I think it should be.  Beautiful weather with the high in the upper 60's.  Lets get it done.

Wesley is still trying to overcome the 2 interceptions in the first quarter... moving the ball pretty well other than that though, with a chance to put some distance between the two teams.

Observations from the JCU-Olivet game: Olivet is getting good pressure on the JCU QB, and JCU is way faster compared to Olivet.

Wesley is headed to Ohio again! Nice win by the Wolverines, and hats off to Jamar Baynard for a heck of a day. The only real mistakes for the offense happened in the first quarter, and they were able to move the ball pretty much at will for most of the game.
