40% of our opponents are in this poll. Ugh.

Well, technically 20% are in the poll, but I get what you're saying...it will be interesting to see how CNU does under the new staff.

Pre Summer Rankings:

1. Wesley
2. Frostburg
3. CNU
4. Sailsbury
5. Rowan
6. Kean
7. Montclair
8. Willy P
9. TCNJ
10. South V

I think some of the NJAC teams may make a case for #2 or #3 this year. I am looking forward to a great season. Regardless of record, I need my team to beat Wesley and get our revenge on our Regents cup rival.

I hope CNU can prove the coaches wrong!

One very important name missing from that article regarding Wesley: James Okike.

It'll be an interesting year for Wesley after an uncharacteristic exit in the 2nd round. Hopefully they have made the necessary improvements.

Stevenson-Frostburg also looks to be an interesting week 1 matchup.

Should be a great season!  Also looking forward to seeing Joe Callahan tomorrow as Green Bay plays the Eagles for the first game of the preseason.

I always like the "dark horse" selection, very unique. This year Kean. Makes sense, they are usually dangerous. Beat Cortland in the ECAC game last season. It's cool they do a preseason poll anyway. I noticed the E8 quietly did away with their preseason poll last season.

Had a cold one a couple of weeks ago with Coach Link. I'm looking forward to the season. I'm sure the poll will be a good motivational tool for everyone!

At first glance, it would seem the most difficult part of Wesley's schedule is going to come at the back-end of the season. After an early challenge at Del Val (#20), the month of September consists of TCNJ, Willy P, and SoVa. IMO no real threat after those 3 til you get to October vs Frostburg. Frostburg-Stevenson I think will be a telling game for them early.

Yeah, I don't like dips like that during the season.  A more consistent level of competition is a far better thermometer of playoff readiness IMHO and makes Wesley less likely to hiccup.

As we know Wesley has been known to start slow, most loses in the first week or 2 until playoff time.  The Del Val game will be a good one, nice Thursday night game for me to get to.  The rest of the month is fix and refine time and then the season gets good.

Had a good time on the Frostburg State campus -- hadn't been there in at least a decade. Here was the final scheduled On the road segment:
