Frostburg vs CNU is the game of the week.  I will be interested to see how the CNU offense does against the Frosty D.  CNU had over 400 yards but only put up 20 against HSU.  Frosty will score, can CNU score with them?  The only other game that seems like it could be close is the Kean/Salisbury game, but I watched some of the Kean game last week and they had trouble dealing with Spingfield so they will also have trouble dealing with the Gulls.  What will the Wesley offense look like with the new QB?

I suspect a lot of running plays are in the offering.....

Not necessarily a bad thing with the way EJ Lee ran against Del Val. Also, with what happened in the opener, the schedule favors Wesley. 3 more weeks to get things right, before going to Frostburg. So maybe they give Burroughs the full load of passing.

Also, junior QB Ben Campbell is listed as the backup on the two deep.

Great article written by Sean Green about my cousin Ben. Check it out!

Ben is a special kid and what he and his family have had to go through can only be described as daunting.  I was with the team when Ben suffered his heart attack.  On the bus, I was talking to him about the game coming up as I always did on the road to Ohio.  And then this.  I cannot describe how hard that hit me and it still does.  That game against Walsh was surrealistic and waterboy you were there so you know.  Coach Drass and the rest of the coaches and players somehow kept it together that weekend.   I could not imagine as a father having something like that happen to my kid.  I really admire the Knapp family for their perseverance and strength.  That is for sure.

@d3jason

Sorry, I didn't get it in until 1:15am Thursday morning and Pat was very busy yesterday. I had back-to-back nights of professional development this week added to my job, parenting etc. It went up around noon today.

I know, no excuses.  :) Just really glad it is Friday. That first five-day week of teaching is exhausting enough. Looking forward to broadcasting a little football tomorrow.

It was great talking to RPI corner Sean Egan and coach Ralph Isernia. Big non-conference game for them this week against Western New England.

Wesley shoots themselves on the foot with two false starts and a missed field goal on their first possession after blocking a punt.

2nd drive was nice... missed XP though. Heard WDEL say Wesley was 2-11 on passes over 10 yards against Del Val. Interesting.

Busy man. It's all good. Was just checking to see if it was gonna happen. Good stuff!  Thanks!!

Wow, I have to say that the officiating at the Wesley/TCNJ has been heavily favoring the home team.  Seriously, they are calling holding on a ton of Wesley plays but I have been seeing some Captain Obvious holding calls not being made on TCNJ.  I usually don't complain, but this is just too obvious.  I have literally been seeing officials re-positioning the ball to give TCNJ first downs and moving the ball back on Wesley.  Pretty poor IMHO.

There is work to be done, but Wesley did pretty well today.  12 penalties is less than laudatory though.  Burroughs did ok, but he is floating long passes which caused both interceptions.  I do like his presence though.  I don't feel that he is jittery.   E.J. Lee is the machine I hoped he would be.  I loved his play last year and it continues to impress this season.  The guy is good.  So, Wesley's NJAC warm-up continues into next week at William Patterson.  The defense improves every week and dominated the O line today.

More reps, more confidence I say.

I liked Burroughs. Other than the two INTs he was pretty accurate. And you are right about his presence. Seemed calm, cool and collected. He did throw a nice deep ball to Kemp that looked like it was dropped on the video. The interceptions looked like reading coverage was the problem. The first on the pump and go to Okike, the corner looked too deep to bite on the fake. Then on the second the safeties were deep to begin with if I recall correctly. Nothing that can't be corrected.

Defense played well. TCNJ was able to keep the ball for most of the game, which kept Wesley from getting on the board more than they did. I like the freshman Stefon Woodruff too. He seems like a good player.

The kicking game needs to improve. Left 5 points on the field today.

No offense, but the commentator of the Kean-Salisbury game makes me feel like I'm watching golf.

Salisbury won 21-13. Kean was able to convert a few forth downs but were picked off in the endzone to seal it.
