Thanks Bartman.  I hope Wesley takes no one lightly.  They started sloppy and let a not playing well CNU stay in the game longer than needed.  I am not sure how the bracket is set up but it looks like the Brockport game may be at Wesley since it is usually the top and bottom matchups as the top 2 teams.  Either way it would be a good one and then the chance to erase the ugly first half that allowed Del Val to have a big enough lead to hold on.  After that I would think that either UMHB or St. Thomas awaits.  I just hope whomever makes the semi final that they play well and represent that the east has some pretty good teams this year.

With the exception Mount Union, Wesley doesn't usually sleepwalk the post season.  It seems like two different teams at times:  The one that just wants to get through the regular season games and the other where they are fighting for their lives in the playoffs.  I say usually....  Have they slept through halves during the playoffs?  Yes they have.  Remember the Linfield game that Wesley turned around in the second half?  I think we all have.  That said,  I don't expect Wesley to enter the playoffs walking backwards.    If one thing has been a bright spot for Wesley this year, is the relatively low penalty rates.  They have been better this year than most.  A rematch with Del Val?  That is a rally point if I have ever heard one.  I am really looking forward to RPI, a team Wesley has never played before.  Those games are always worth watching.

Anyone looking past Brockport for a rematch game is in or a rude awakening. This team is really good. There is reason they have won every game by 10 or more pts. Qb1 is on schedule to be back this week.

May be true.  But brockport may be in for a rude awakening if they play Wesley.  Not sure how good the E8 was this year.  Brockport had a great season and Germenario is very good and so is the defense.  I watched them dismantle Hobart and a few others during the season.  If they play each other I expect a really good game.

Yeah, nobody looks past nobody in the playoffs.  Wesley has a lot of playoff experience from the last 13 years and if anybody knows that, it is the coaching staff!

Well said Ski.

RPIs two losses come to Hobart (30-0) and Buff St. (33-21) in back to back weeks in the beginning of the season. They are averaging just under 30 ppg and giving up about 16.5. They've also intercepted 22 passes! Anyone know anything about em?

I think Del Val might only be the 3rd best team in this bracket. I have seen the box score of the Wesley game and I think Wesley beats them 6 out of 10 times. With that said I love this Brockport team. Very very talented and balanced. I wouldn't trade for any other team in this bracket. Let's get this thing started and hope we all survive week 1.

I was looking over their box scores and that was the first thing I noted.  They seem to have a really active secondary that can intercept frequently.  Their offense is pretty balanced as well, evenly distributing their plays on the ground and in the air.  You can watch a couple of their games on Youtube.....

Congrats to both Frostburg and Wesley. I think both teams have a good chance to get to the Elite 8. I think both teams defenses are very well coached. Good luck to both, although its tough rooting for our bitter rivals, but we need you guys to perform and other ER teams for credibility. All I see on other boards is how weak the East is. Although you have to beat the best to be the best, our top teams don't have to face Mount in the 1st two rounds as some years ago.

Morrison has been banged up and has only played very limited snaps the last few games and the coaches held him out Saturday to rest.

bsports,
I have been saying since Brockport whipped Hobart that they are a special team , and I think they will win this bracket.....but the Golden Eagles must play their best games of the season to win 3 games against Plymouth State, Wesley and Delaware Valley( projected path).....the Golden Eagles have not seen defenses like Wesley or DelVal....hopefully Joe Germinerio and Justin Morrison are healthy because I THINK this offense is final four level....but we will see.....the playoffs are a great way to evaluate the best of these leagues and I am glad the bracket has been set up this way which will reduce speculation to reality on these comparisons since these teams will actually play each other instead of having western teams shipped in or being shipped out.....
By the way, I think Frosty is a great team and is of the BPort, DelVal,Wesley level and may win a couple on the road.....hopefully this will be a special playoff for the East

CNU goes from 4-1 to 5-5...a total collapse! ???

Congrats to Wesley for winning the NJAC and Frostburg for making the tournament...represent the East well!

I agree with everything you said except for Plymouth. I don't think Brockport is a good matchup for them. It appears they struggle to score and that will be a big problem at Brockport.

CNU85

Best of luck to the Wolverines and Bobcats!!!! Cheering on the NJAC!!

Wow, you guys really have a **** on for Brockport!  They are good, but with zilch playoff experience.   All we can do is let the turf decide whether or not they are that good or if the Empire 8 was weak this year.  Del Val is a really good team and Wesley, well, can hold its own.
