Top 3 seeds in the East are a coin flip, all are very good. Like I said I wouldn't trade the talent on Brockport for any other team in the East.

I am kinda sad I won't be able to watch the Frostburg/ Wittenberg game.  It is a fascinating match up to see where the NJAC is compared to a NCAC conference they don't get to play too often.  Should be a good one!

I have been saying since Brockport whipped Hobart that they are a special team , and I think they will win this bracket....

Wow, you guys really have a **** on for Brockport!  They are good, but with zilch playoff experience.   All we can do is let the turf decide whether or not they are that good or if the Empire 8 was weak this year.  Del Val is a really good team and Wesley, well, can hold its own.

Ski, Having watched more than just Wesley games this year I know that Brockport is good, very good.  I saw them dominate Hobart, game could have been 42-0 at the half.  I watched them against a few other teams and they are tough on both sides of the ball.  If Germanerio is healthy they will have the QB advantage over Wesley.  If the running back is healthy they will have just as good a back as Lee.  The defenses will stack up as also even, Wesley may be a touch better, but not by much.  This game will come down to avoiding turnovers and coaching.  Wesley definitely has the advantage in playoff experience and prep for this is different than normal with the limited roster and such.  I do not think the E8 was as good top to bottom as in years past, but Brockport rolled people.  If the game is at Brockport than they have the not traveling advantage.  I think Wesley will win the game is they play, but I am already planning on driving 5.5 hours and over 300 miles to see it.

Congrads to Samer Manna of Wesley for making the D3Football Team of the Week.  A solid performance for sure!  ;)

Just interviewed Coach Fitzgerald from Frostburg for our Rd 1 preview show. Wow, I'd run thru a brick wall for a HC like him. Awesome guy.

Closer and closer to game day. Hoping the Wolverines have had a good week of practice so far to prepare them for RPI. Play the game they know how to play and they win. Believe the weather calls for 50 and overcast. In Wesley's 13 year playoff run (which only Mount and UMHB compare to) they have not lost in the first round. Hope that trend continues.

I think RPI will struggle to score and Wesley will not so I expect this game to be similar to the Hobart/RPI game.  Dont think Wesley gets a shutout, but I think 31 - 10 is about right.

Wesley
42-14
Im glad that RPI made it to the dance.
Unfortunately this isnt the Enchantment under the sea dance and Marty McFly wont be playing a guitar.
Biff wins

This all depends on which RPI team shows up of course and which Wesley team shows up.

Im betting on the 6'5 Biff vs the 5'2 Marty
Thats who shows up

I think Frosty could surprise a few in their bracket...I am very impressed with their team and coach. Wesley is Wesley, but no Joe Callahan this year, I think RPI's only chance for a win is to stop(realistically contain) Lee/ the  run (RPI defense avg. per run is 1.8 in the LL) and force Wesley into turnovers (RPI secondary has 22 INT's)...they have to keep Wesley to 17 points or less for a chance. The other thing RPI will have to do is get outstanding performances from their efficient Freshman QB(he has progressed well but he is a freshman in the playoffs :o...against Wesley :o) and the Oline/Tivins at running back have to grind out the clock and get  first downs...they need 21 points to have any chance....., so if RPI wins it should be 21-17....... but realistically a Wesley 35-14 win with maybe a glimmer of hope at half time with Wesley up 14-7....but eventually the Wesley machine will wear the Engineers down and move on to the Battle at Brockport the following week..

So it would be Biff vs Crispin Glover?

The RPI secondary definitely looks scary.  Burroughs will need to be smart with the ball, that is for sure.  That said, I think the second half will see Wesley pulling away if they hadn't gotten behind due to mistakes in the first half, which in the playoffs is pretty rare.
