The RPI secondary definitely looks scary.  Burroughs will need to be smart with the ball, that is for sure.  That said, I think the second half will see Wesley pulling away if they hadn't gotten behind due to mistakes in the first half, which in the playoffs is pretty rare.

... unless they are in Alliance... ::)

You had to go there, didn't you?

Wesley
42-14
Im glad that RPI made it to the dance.
Unfortunately this isnt the Enchantment under the sea dance and Marty McFly wont be playing a guitar.
Biff wins

dlip is hoping for the best here for RPI and rooting for them big time. They do have the potential to surprise here if they stay away from mistakes and play tough D. However dlip agrees with other's thoughts here. He feels RPI may keep it close early but the Wolverines will pull away as a result of RPI mistakes.

CNU85

The NJAC awards are out. Congrats to all. Special congrats to CNU players and to Cole Blais for ROTY!!!

Game day.  Looks like the weather will not be an issue.  Upper 50's and little wind, well there is always a little wind in Dover.  No change in my thoughts on the game.  Barring numerous turnovers and other poor play Wesley should win this game comfortably.  I just dont think RPI will be able to score much and no matter how tough the RPI d is, Wesley will be able to score.  31- 10.

Thank the lord for decent wx!  Good luck to Wesley, Frostburg and Salisbury today!  I'm thinking that the NJAC will have three victories at the end of the day......

Can't argue with this.

Well this isnt how you want to start. Too many penalties.

Not sure how you can call kick catch interference on an onside kick... Wesley got hosed there.... not sure why you wouldnt just kick it deep anyway though.

RPI did not exactly play along with the script....we will see how the second half script goes
"I never graduated from Iowa, but I was only there for two terms - Truman's and Eisenhower's."
Alex Karras

Really stellar performance by the offense today all game long, and a really stellar performance in the second half by the defense. Aside from that personal foul ejection series, they did a great job of shutting RPI down the rest of the game. Only 7 points allowed in the second half.

Hats off to Frostburg for handling Wittenberg. That makes the NJAC look pretty good on the day!

dlippiel

Wow! Frostburg takes Wittenberg to the ****ing woodshed. Congrats on the BIG W! Great day for the NJAC!

Gotta head out to the Salisbury game, but Wesley played another Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde game.  Pretty poor first half and a turn-around second.  Brockport won't play that kind of game next week.  Happy to see the second half team win it, but frustrating as hell.

BIG time congrads to Frostburg.  That is one badass performance that does the NJAC proud!  2-0 so far!  Note that St. Johns lost their first round game.....proves a point I made all season, but I digress.....

Off to the Sea Gulls......

Congrats to Frostburg for thumping Wittenberg....a very impressive East win.  RPI put a scare in the Wolverines with good defense in the first half, but in the end, the better athletes won. It didn't help the Engineers that their freshman QB threw 2 INT's directly at the Wesley db's in the end zone . The Wesley defense was not as intimidating as past teams I have watched but the Wesley offense was impressive, especially in the second half.   I do think the Brockport game will be a big challenge for the Wolverines....Germinerio won't make the same mistakes and the Brockport receivers can fly plus the Brockport  Oline is the best I have seen in a long time.....Although the Brockport defense is a step up from RPI,  I don't think they will slow down Wesley significantly....so I am expecting a good old fashion shootout in Brockport......hope the weather is decent

Brockport looks like its going to be a shootout. Still think Wesley has yet to put a complete game together, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

Looking at Brockport's schedule, my question is: who have they played? I get that the E8 is a traditionally strong conference and they eat each other alive, but there isn't really anything that stands out to me as far as opponents beaten. None of the team's they have played are better than 7-3, except Plymouth State who was never in the game to begin with today.

waterboy, they are good.  watched them a couple of times this year and Germanario is really good.  Wesley D will have it's hands full stopping their offense, especially after seeing what happened today with the RPI passing game.  The lines will have to play better as neither one did very well today.  Very little pressure most of the game from the D line and the O line did not open many holes for the running game.  I am not sure what to make of Wesley, they look mediocre at times and then you look at the scoreboard the game is not even close.  Burrough needs to put more air under some of his passes to give the receivers a chance to make a play.  Next week should be a good one.
