I cannot believe the season is about to begin!  Yay for the human mind to divert attention just long enough not to go insane.  Wesley starts the season off with a pair of Friday night home games, with the first against it's current nemesis, Del Val.  Hopefully, Wesley can start off the season with a win this year!

Sorry this is out of order. No#1 The E 8 schools have never wanted to plsy Wesley before so I doubt that will happen.
#2 zWesley is no longer in the CAC. They are moving to the new America East conference.

Any football impact of #2?
The Wolverines will remain a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference in football.

Thanks. I did see that. I was thinking there was additional news I was unaware about. Good. Any changes in NJAC would not be cool right now.

No impact on football at all. The new conference consists of the schools that were part of the PAC. I don't believe any of the other schools have football programs
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

Agreed, it's great to distract the mind from our hectic lives for a bit. Best of luck to Wesley against Del Val.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Really hoping Wesley doesn't go 0-3 vs. Del Val. They have really given the Wolverines fits over the past decade. Wesley (and Del Val) are 3-3 in that series since 2007. 2 of Wesley's 3 wins have come by narrow margins. If I remember right, last year, Wesley got off to a slow start on both sides of the ball, then were able to shut Del Val down for the most part in the second half. Hoping that we can avoid a slow start Friday night.

Was just looking at NJAC schedules.......OUCH!!!! Wesley's last 2 games!! Well......at least the SU game. CNU may not be all that this year.

Prediction folks......anyone want to make a stab at the final standings? I will post mine shortly.

Frostburg State   9-1
Wesley   9-1
Rowan   6-4
Salisbury   6-4
Christopher Newport   5-5

I see the conference in 4 segments

1. Frostburg State
2. Wesley

3. Rowan
4. Christopher Newport
5. Kean

6. Salisbury
7. Montclair State

8. TCNJ
9. William Paterson
10. Southern Virginia
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

It may just be my bias but here is what I see... I'll explain the top 3.

Wesley (10-0): This season will be dedicated to Mike Drass. The last time Wesley played for someone they knocked off Linfield, UMHB and nearly Mount Union in the semifinals. Wesley's two toughest games are in Dover and I don't see them losing on a field which bears Drass' name. Not this year. Plus, I am very intrigued by Wesley's additions on both sides of the ball.

Frostburg St. (9-1): Frostburg visits Wesley. See above.

Salisbury (6-4 or 7-3): Yes, they lose a bit, BUT Salisbury usually recruits pretty well. They played solid defense last season and return 7 defenders. In addition, they have a history of contention.

Rowan
Kean
Montclair State
TCNJ
Southern Virginia

1.   Wesley
2.   Frostburg State
3T.  Salisbury/Kean/CNU
4T.    Rowan/TCNJ
5.    Montclair State
6T.    William Patterson/SVU

I agree with Waterboy, I don't think Salisbury takes that much of a stepback (if any), although they have a new QB, which can bring uncertainties with any option team. The defense will continue to be the catalyst for them until the QB can get some games under his belt. The talent may not be that of Wesley or even Frostburg, but the coaches do a good job with finding a good amount of players to compete with the best in the conference and the rest of the region.
