T minus 2 work days before Rowan and Widener square off under Thursdays night lights! Not sure the meaning behind the 7:37PM kick off time.

Widener has a live video link in case anyone here needs to scratch the college football itch during the work week.

6T.    William Patterson/SVU

I agree with Waterboy, I don't think Salisbury takes that much of a stepback (if any), although they have a new QB, which can bring uncertainties with any option team. The defense will continue to be the catalyst for them until the QB can get some games under his belt. The talent may not be that of Wesley or even Frostburg, but the coaches do a good job with finding a good amount of players to compete with the best in the conference and the rest of the region.

Thanks...but that's too much love for CNU!  ;D ;D. I'm really concerned about this year. I truly hope my gut is wrong!

What are your concerns for CNU this year? Every time HSC plays them I see lots of really good athletes running around.

Last time Frostburg beat Wesley: 2003. Gotta beat everyone to make it your world.

Some real interesting week 1 games
Thursday
Rowan v Widener
Frostburg v Stevenson
Friday
Del Val v Wesley
Albright v Salisbury
Saturday
Husson v Union
Hobart v Brockport

Weather permitting I am hoping to get to the Rowan/Widener game, short walk from home.  Not sure if I am going to make the Wesley game due to shore traffic and forecast of thunderstorms day and evening in Dover.  I highlighted who I think will win the games.

As far as top 10, clearly Brockport is 1, I have Wesley at 2 until Frostburg shows they can beat them.  Frosty 3.  then it gets interesting.  I am not sure where Del Val falls since they seem to have lost much from last year, Friday will tell for sure.  Looking forward to another fun D3 season.

It'll happen this year. Should of happened last year but it'll be great to do it on their own home field.

Go Cats!

Thinking home games will come with a little more emphasis for the Wolverines this year....

Our game is week 6 the emotions of Coach Drass' passing will be worn off by then. Wesley won't be the powerhouse that they used to be.

Just my gut....fell part second half of season last year. lost last 3 games......and in college football you get to improve by losing experienced seniors and adding 18 yr old Freshmen. I just don't see an immediate improvement. In a few years, perhaps. But this year?

Based on what?  The teams are essentially the same with the killer d lineman gone for Frostburg.  Wesley dominated most of the game before giving up big plays to let Frostburg back in it.  In the end Frosty couldn't get it done.  I expect the QB play for Wesley to be improved, Frosty already had a good one.  I just don't see what has changed that makes the Bobcats better.  Emotions or not, Wesley is better until Frostburg can prove otherwise.

Wesley couldn't stop the running game. Frostburg is the better offensive team as well as the better coached team.

Really, again based on what?  Your opinions are just that.  If Wesley couldn't stop the running game why didn't Frostburg score more points in the game?  As far as coaching goes, you have nothing to back that assertion up.  Cheer for your team and enjoy their success.  Use support to back up your opinions so that you can justify them.
