Congrats to all the NJAC players of the week and a big time congrats to Mofor for making D3 Team of the week. He definitely was the difference maker in a game that wasn't decided until 3rd/4th quarter. He made some timely runs, which propelled the Gulls from a horrendous 1st quarter. I think with the weather and essentially a whole new starting unit, it took them a while to get going offensively. The defense played lights out majority of the time, really only allowing one touchdown, one of Albright touchdown's was on a broken play after the 2nd or 3rd fumble early in the 1st quarter.

Niles Scott dt out of FSU made the 49ers practice squad. He will be called up sometime this season.

Great win by Wesley a tale of two halves. it'll be sweet revenge to take their undefeated season from this year!

::) We got a month to go. Frostburg has to deal with a Rowan team that reeled off a good win vs. Widener, and a CNU team that could surprise.

The trash talk started early this year!  :D

Rowan is always a tough play for Frostburg. CNU ehh not as much only reason last year was even close was FSU had 3 turnovers on its first 3 drives, two INT's that the qb should not have thrown. CNU just isn't as physical as they need to be.

:D :D  That's like saying the only reason Manning threw 55 TD's that one year was because his receivers kept getting open and he kept throwing them the ball. Other than that...his season sucked!

As I said before, have to produce the win before the celebration begins.

I saw Rowan play, and if Frostburg has special teams then Rowan will not be much of a challenge.  CNU is young and as CNU85 has said, a work in progress, dont see that as much of a game either.

There are always 3 views of a game, the winning team, the losing team, and what actually happened with no spin on it.

Frostburg should be concerned that Wesley has 4 weeks to get ready for them.  Bye week and 3 games against the doormats of the NJAC.  I have not always agreed with the game plans, but Coach Knapp is good at coming up with ways to score points on anyone.  If the defense is more aggressive as reports from Friday's game hint at then Frostburg is going to have to play a good game to beat Wesley.  Looking forward to 10/9, it will be the first Wesley game I get to this year.

Rowan has SVU this week. Profs will have to deal with the travel. After last season, Rowan can't take anyone lightly.

Following SVU, Rowan has WPU. WPU has yet to play this season. I won't comment on the other big games (FSU, Wesley, etc.) until the Profs get through these two games. Plenty for them to improve over the next few weeks.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Salisbury ran all over Albright in the second half of their game last Friday night despite losing all of their starting cast in the backfield from a season ago. Mike-Ryan Mofor stood out in the game with 237 yards and two touchdowns from the super back position. Here is my report on his accolades so far from his performance alongside some thoughts from him after the game...

Still not sure why Albright didn't make any adjustments to that at halftime.  They were in the game at the half.   SU saw that the inside run was working and pounded it in the 2nd half...Albright did nothing to counter....inexplicable...

Red Hawks 12

Hello All, not new to the site but forgot my username/password and changed my email about a year ago so, starting over...Saw my Red Hawks scrimmage against Lackawanna who appear to be a big 10 feeder school at this point. We looked good, some of the young guys def hit the weights in the off season, looking forwarding to seeing how we perform tomorrow, our O line is big with 4 returning starers, WR's are all with experience under their belt, defense is quite fast, now we gotta put it all together.
