$100K ouch...

JT's outlays from 1985-1990 including room, board, & books (at Rowan)... beer/partying expenses not included.

Community College 85-88              $3,200
Glassboro State (Rowan) 88-90     $11,000

Is this the JT of old?

Yes... a little older, and hopefully a little wiser.

Week was busy so didn't have time to give my opinion on MSU Vs Southern Virginia, we came out a little flat and got punched in the mouth a bit. Still didn't let them in the endzone and clamped down when we had to. Defense ended up putting on a pretty good showing with their speed, offensively,  our qb once again was efficient, I believe 8 different receivers caught a pass, he has a big arm and a serious deep threat in Kasan Green (gotta be a 4.4 kid) just returned his 3rd kick off return for a td, in 3 consecutive games. This weekend will be our first big test, are we ready to step up and play ball against a worthy adversary, if all three phases play ball the way they are capable of playing, we win. I have a small vendetta with Christopher Newport, some of their fans tried to steal one of our Red Hawk flags last year after the game was over, I was not letting that go down obviously but bush league...

Disappointed to hear that...the game will likely be tight, but I think CNU wins a close one at Pomoco.

Yeah that's not cool. It only takes 1 to smear the reputation of thousands of others.  My apologies!

Thanks Pat.

I thought after all that transpired, a time away was required. I didn't want to be one of those posters who just immediately creates another ID. I still checked in from time-to-time, but I was also busy building a business, having a kid etc. etc.

The off-topic parts of the post patterns were always interesting, but one particular topic became toxic. There are no winners when the debate is over the color of the sun and the sky.

You had/have a brand to protect. I was disappointed, but I thought I should move on for a while. I thought my coming back would be sooner, but we were surprised when my wife got pregnant soon after we gave up trying. Austin will be three the first week of November.

I am a SME when it Thomas the Train, Sesame St., Paw Patrol, and Peppa Pig. I am more of a D3 fan now, when I used to be more of a pundit. I love the new tech. My wife thinks I'm nuts for having six D3 games on the big screen TV on game days.

I have seen enough of Rowan over the past couple years and can converse on the difference between the deep playoff teams and the last few years.

Mr. Ypsi

Welcome back, JT, from your leading antagonist on the late unlamented politics board!  I tried to quit the board many times, but it was just too addictive.  So I'm glad the guru finally pulled the plug! ;D

Congratulations on Austin - enjoy the hell out of him!  I was forty before our first born.  I think a wise move as a dad (more mature, more financially settled, but still young enough to rough-house, coach both boys thru soccer, etc. - back then I could still demonstrate the moves I wanted to see!)  But a bit of a pain as a granddad: just spent a week at a rented house in Holland MI with #1 son, DIL, and 3 grandkids (#4 in about six weeks) - they (all under 5) totally wore me down. ::)

JT2

Hi Mr. Ypsi,

Having Austin forced me to start getting back in shape. I'll be an old Dad, but I'm not gonna be a fat old Dad. I'd hate to be in one of those scooters watching him play sports. I work out of my home now, and my wife has a good job 4.5 miles away, so we get to spend a lot of time with him.

Frosty fans, I was watching the ITH radio podcast last night and learned that no makeup date for the CNU game is scheduled.  Hobart has a 9 game schedule as well and an open date on 9/29....just sayin'...

That would be great. The time would be now if it was to occur. I thought UCF and West Virginia were going to play each last week after their cancellations, but with such short notice and logistics, its hard to find room & Board for the size of the teams (mayble neutral site). I'm pretty sure Frostburg Coach would play with a day's notice... ;D

Yeah, I bet logistics are probably hard to make games like that work on short notice. Doesn't Hobart usually only stick with a 9 game season anyway?
