Wheels have fallen off the Profs.. CNU with 39 unanswered points.  Lead 39-6 with 5:19 left in 4th

Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Nice road win for CNU. It is mind boggling how good they could really be if they had a little more discipline. Once again way too many penalties, at bad times, and too many personal fouls.

Looks like a picked a good night to go out for dinner. Ouch.

Now the NJAC gets interesting.  Wesley v Frostburg and Salisbury v CNU this week.  Neither Wesley nor Frostburg wants a loss as a 1 loss team may not get a spot, but this year there is carnage all over the country so looks like 1 loss will have a shot.  Frostburg has played 1 game since 9/8.  They will be rested, but maybe rusty.  Wesley has played the bottom of the NJAC since the Del Val game and reports are they looked flat on Saturday (bored maybe).  I have to figure that both teams have been indirectly prepping for this game since game 1 of this year.  Frostburg will come in all cocky as they usually do which may not be a good idea.  Wesley will need to avoid the stupid penalties, especially personal foul types.  Wesley's secondary will be tested, but it sounds like they are improved.  I saw that EJ Lee did not run the ball well against SVA, is he banged up?  In the end I still think Wesley is better and will win the game.  Finally going to get to a game this year.

Wesley seemed flat to me on Saturday. Came out slow and just kind of walked through the motions of the game IMO. As far as Lee goes, Coach Knapp did say that for the SVU game they tried to open up the run with the pass. Ultimately, I think they were forced to go away from the run as the game progressed. The offense only held the ball for 20 minutes, with 5 of those coming in the last drive of the game. Lee did have a bigger impact in the passing game. There were a few injuries of note to the Wesley secondary and defensive line, which may hurt a little bit if those guys cannot return.

I think the game being in Dover on Drass Field helps Wesley here. Definitely a reason to be fired up if you're a Wesley player, but agree definitely need to keep their heads and play disciplined football.

Thinking back to the 2017 game, Wesley was marching down the field to get that gap touchdown, but then a weird fumble call at the 1 (after a LONG discussion by referees) spoiled that. Wesley also held the ball for just 22 minutes that game. So keepaway may be the name of the game again as Wesley may have to rely on its defense to get quick stops. Frostburg ran 27 more plays than Wesley did that day, and had 99 of their 501 yards of offense come on two plays.

I think it's tough for Wesley to get up for games every week when they know they're gonna roll. In my opinion Wesley is top team in the east and # 4 in country, think they beat Frostburg by 17.

You mentioned about Frostburg coming into your game cocky as usual. They sure came into the Mount playoff game last year feeling pretty cocky. During the national anthem, instead of lining up on the sideline, by their bench, they lined up in the end zone. They then proceeded to taunt the Raider player, some of whom were close by. Mount showed their appreciation by pounding them and sending them home. As you said, probably not a good idea to be too cocky to Wesley either!
Wesley has been a top program for years. Who the hell is Frostburg St.? Never heard of them until last year. Anyhoo, best to Wesley in the game and the rest of the year. Go Wolverines! ☠🏈

[/quote Wesley has only had a few penalties after the DelVal game. I have been impressed with the speed of Wesleys defence and the size of the dbacks. That should help force the QB to throw the ball quicker. Wei

Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

Wesley has to survive the first half to bring the game home in the second.  There is no doubt that Wesley will have to play a really good game to stay ahead of Frostburg.   If Wesley keeps their mistakes down (which tends to be tough in a tough game) they should come out on top.  Wesley can do a pretty good job keeping an opponent in the game with mistakes from time to time.  This game is the first round of the playoffs and they need to ramp it up like they do when November rolls around.  A focused Wesley team is as good as any out there in DIII land. An unfocused one can be as bad as any team out there....  I am thinking that the former will be the case especially if the weather is agreeable.

Ski:

As of now the long range forecast for Saturday is cloudy with high temperature of 72. Hope that holds.

As with Wesleydad plan to finally get to a game this season.

Good to see the Captains bounce back from a disappointing loss...even though Salisbury has been winning w/relative ease, none of their opponents have won a game...I think CNU gets it done at home.

Continue to be impress with the Seagulls, they played well. I am now seeing the the offense gel. With the exception of the two fumbles (nature of the beast :P) deep in William Patterson territory, I think the offense is reaching the top of the bell curve. The defense continues to be the catalyst for them and posted their second shutout of the season. Although the competition has not been that great thus far, I think that was necessary for the young offense to gain confidence. There is still some room for improvement on all facets, hopefully the coaching staff can tighten some of those things up this upcoming weekend as we face our strongest opponent thus far in hostile territory. I think the Seagulls have to protect the ball and finish drives with tds and limit big plays in the air and change of blitz schemes on 3rd and long. I expect it to be a good one this upcoming weekend, wishing everyone safe travels and injury free game and a win for the Gulls.

I was following the score and I thought maybe there were some suspensions or something. Not sure from the box score, but hey a Win is a Win, looking forward to your game against Frostburg, may take a trip up there to catch the game as a family friend from NC A&T are traveling there for their game against Delaware State.

With the way Del State is playing, Wesley would do a triple monkey stomp on them if the teams played each other this year.  Real sad stuff.....  If the weather holds out, I think it would be a great day to watch a pair of SU's mortal enemies go at it.
