two missed extra points away from possibly being undefeated, but top level teams don't do that.  The line play on both sides of the ball is not good enough to be a top level team with a chance to win it all.  Too much skill on offense to struggle moving the ball and to blow a 13 point lead against an average football team.  too many missed tackles when you needed to get off the field and rowan was just trying to keep the clock running.  skill enough to be a top 10 team, not disciplined enough to be a top 10 team.  it will be interesting to see how this team plays out the season.  do they keep playing hard and win out, or do they just go through the motions and who knows what happens.

Line play definitely. Does that have to do with the lopsided possession times or is that just me?

Think there is also a deficiency at QB too. Burroughs has turned the ball over 12 times this season. Some of his passes were forced into some small windows today.

I was starting to ponder what the committee was going to do in the "East", with the #3, #4 and #8 ranked teams in the country (and probably stuck there as #1 and #2 and #5-#7 most likely will not lose in the final three weeks). It looks like Wesley answered that question with what do with them. I do still wonder though if Brockport and Frostburg run the table, do they separate them as #1's in the East and South or are they #1 and #2 in the East? I'm still stunned that Wesley lost to Rowan. That opens up a slot in the East for......................I have no clue who. Who might benefit the most from Wesley's second loss?

Atomic Football gave Rowan a 1% chance to win today. I guess anything is possible... there are no words.

The Frostburg/Salisbury loser could theoretically slide right into that NJAC runner up slot that we assumed would go to Wesley. A lot of big games left for Salisbury, but it's possible.

I think Salisbury's defense is to much for Frostburg, frostburg is very well coached, they run a few plays and execute, Msu kept them in check, The lb's and safety's from Salisbury in my opinion are  exceptional, will have them in check.

If Wesley does not implode they will beat Salisbury as will Frostburg, so I dont see any second team from the NJAC getting in.  Well unless Salisbury can beat Frostburg, then there is a chance or if Salisbury beats Wesley then both Salisbury and Frostburg get in.

The only team that can benefit from the Wesley loss is Salisbury and they will have to beat either Wesley or Frostburg to benefit.  I think they lose both games, but as we saw twice now, Wesley allows teams to stay in games and self destructs.

The time of possession difference is staggering.  Wesley only loses by 1 point twice and the other team had the ball 21 and 18 more minutes in the game.  The inability to get teams off the field is the problem.  In both games when Wesley needed to make a stop they didn't.  Cox made several plays that turned out to be the difference and yesterday on third and long, Rowan runs the QB who is totally bottled up and no one makes the tackle and boom, first down and game is over.  290 yards rushing by Frostburg and 276 by Rowan is just unacceptable if you want to challenge for the national title.  I think Brockport's defense currently has a negative yards per game rushing avg.  The shame is that despite those numbers this team is 2 missed extra points away from possibly being undefeated.  A very frustrating last couple of weeks because when playing mistake free football this team would have been very scary to play in the playoffs.

Great game in Glassboro yesterday. The homecoming atmosphere was electric.. even better with this victory.

It didn't look good for the Profs in the first quarter after 2 unfortunate turnovers -- including a gift fumble on the 1 yard line which leads to a free 7 points for the Wolverines.

Rowan's D played great on 3rd down... someone metioned that Wesley didn't convert any 3rd down attempts.

For the Profs, two key transfers made huge impacts in this game including Sunny Tapp (DE) & Nick Couzzi (QB). Tapp recently joined the team from the D1 ranks and made bruising tackles on special teams and logged a key sack late in the game.

Couzzi, a Pace transfer, essentially made his debut at QB and show his ability to scramble and make things happen. Looking forward to him taking over the QB role.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Couzzi was very good.  He certainly improved the QB position.

I think the issue for Wesley has always been line play. They have championship skill players in Peele, Kemp and Lee, however it has proven hard to check all the boxes.

I don't think I have been this disappointed in a Wesley loss since the 2014 70-21 Mount game. Geez.

You can usually expect one disappointing game a season with Wesley....this time we just ended up with a double dose.  The reality is that we were blessed with QB's that were able to make lemonade out of lemons, whether that was Warwick, McSweeney, Sotilaire or Callahan.  We just ran out of lemons......

Montclair took Frostburg to the wire, held lead most of game, our starting safety got booted for targeting, i'm all for safety but that was a very questionable call. We scored on 4th down to tie it, Frostburg on the very next play hit number 11 he raced 60 yards for a TD. We had them on the ropes, number 4 team in Country but came up short, can't blame refs but there were several questionable calls. Have to be honest and this isn't sour grapes, I wasn't all that impressed with Frostburg, very good but 4 in the Country, I don't see it, that said, congrats on the win.

Flip side, Frostburg played a horrible game and you could tell they came out and expected to dominate. Questionable calls on both sides but that's D3 reffing right there. Montclair gave a good fight but they Great teams find ways to win.

Interesting weekend. Results definitely didn't go as expected. Had a chance to watch both the Frostburg v. Montclair game and the Rowan v. Wesley game. Frostburg played well enough and found a way to win, killing Montclair MO with that 71 yard pass, otherwise that game was tilting towards Montclair. I initially wasn't going to watch the Rowan v. Wesley game, but when the score was tied midway through the 2nd, I said this is a game and what a wild one it was. Rowan defense was playing very inspired. Rowan appeared to always make a play when there was one to be made, Wesley not so much.  Now to the Salisbury game, the Defense was great all day with the exception of two plays. The whole unit was on today. The offense finally started giving the SB's the ball and letting them do what they do. I am not sure why one guy hasn't been playing, but the SB (FB) positions was phenomenal. Special teams was much better with the exception of the missed tackles on the fake punt, but at least it was now and not a big game. I still think the offense needs to do more with the short QB, he needs to do a better job on carrying out the option (to much East West), he needs to pitch a tad earlier to allow the Slots more room to maneuver. I think they need to compliment their players to become more effective offensively. Nevertheless, a win is a win and now we get to see this new Rowan QB for next week. Glad this upcoming week wasn't his 1st start.
