I interviewed the CAC Commissioner and he had some insight on Frostburg State's move.

Thanks Gordon. I listened to it back in the summer and totally forgot that the Commissioner explained it a little bit. Still interesting to see if DII pans out they way Frostburg hopes.

I hope it works well for them too. But I have to admit, jumping to d2 doen't seem like a massive upgrade. I can't name many D2 schools. However, jumping into the d1 ranks is game changing and puts you right on the map.

Salisbury played its best game today at Rowan. The Defense turned up the heat all day and didn't allow anything. The offense finally looked dominate. I would say that Salisbury needs to get better on Kickoff coverage, almost allowed 2 tds, the last one didn't think the returner was going to come out. Would have loved to see a shutout after have two redzone stands after those big returns and a fumble inside out own 30. The FB runs really opened everything up this week. The defense continues to improve, I can't say that enough. Shockingly, there is still room from improvement for this team.
As a diehard Navy football fan, I love watching the triple option, and the Seagull's triple option was a thing of beauty today... too bad it was against my Profs.

I will be rooting for them to represent the NJAC in the big dance.

496 yards on the ground for the Seagulls. I watched the first quarter and a half as they went up 24-0. A huge back breaker was yards after contact. I lost count how many times contact was made and either the Prof defender bounced off or was dragged for extra yards.  They run the triple option very well and I remember player names from last year. Salisbury must have a good mix of vets.

Wife saw the score after a quarter and a half, and said it's over... go play with your son.

If the weather is nice, I'm going to try to catch the Montclair game this weekend. Last game I went to was Rowan at Widener in 2016. Great view from the President's box as my Father is a Widener (Pennsylvania Miltary College) grad. The school invited him to sit in the box.

Terrible.  My sincere condolences to his family and team.

Sad. Prayers for his family and his team. Driving at 5 AM, maybe he fell asleep at the wheel.

Ithaca two losses and has a 9 seed, Montclair Two losses come from the 4th team in the Country they took to the wire, Frostburg scores late on a long pass against a true frosh at Safety after our safety was ejected for targeting. 2nd loss against Salisbury who in my opinion is going to beat Frostburg, they get 159 yards rushing in 1st quarter, had under 200 for the game, we lost that one bc we blocked their punt, recover it, fumble it back to Salisbury (questionable call on possession btw) we lose 17 to 15 and Ithaca has a 9 Seed? I can't say much about the 9-1 teams but I think we all know what would happen if Salisbury, Frostburg, Rowan and Montclair Played against Merchant Marine and Western New England...Slaughter fest..

So when Salisbury beats Frostburg and all things remain exactly the same, Montclair should jump Western New England and move ahead of Ithaca?

I'd think if that were to happen, there is a chance. With Montclair beating Wesley, I think they swap whatever rating/standing they had if Wesley could have escaped with a win Saturday... of course, Wesley does still have a win vs. a RRO. Montclair does not, so it may take a little more considering their resume.

Salisbury is tough!  Their D is tough, but their triple option is smoooooth.  As a die hard Navy fan, I've watched a ton of TO over the past 15 years, and Salisbury's TO is beautiful.  Frostburg with have their hands full. Good luck to both teams.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

I guess it's that time of the week, again expecting cloudy skies for our game against the team up 13. This is a very interesting game as Salisbury finally appeared to be clicking offensively (although have room to grow), the defense held strong and played lights out the whole game (except last 2 mins, grrr) last week. However, this week we are facing  a team that is going to be the most skilled teamed offensively that we have faced, although I'm not sure the best quarterback. I think if we can get the running game going with the fullback, it will help us offensively and adjust from there. Defensively we can't give up big explosive plays and be sure tacklers, everyone to the ball (haven't had issues all year why start now). With this game being a rivalry game, you never know what to expect. With Wesley being 5-3, not sure if we will have a sold out affair (hopefully), but I do expect Salisbury sideline will be filled. I project the game to be either a 31-23 or 21-16 game in favor of the Gulls. Why not keep your bitter rival down, Why not. In other NJAC games, I expect Frostburg to dominate Kean and get some of their younger guys experience as they prepare for Regents cup and playoffs with the limited roster. I like Montclair over Rowan, I can see 28-13 type game. I think CNU will continue to finish strong with a big showing against TCNJ. I think Southern VA gets another W in their column against William Paterson.
