Rosters are starting to be populated on school web pages. I just came across this....but it looks like it has been on social media for a while (I'm slow)...the Stevenson starting QB transferred to CNU.
Well, he started the last 6 games for the Mustangs and went 5-1

Interesting

He is from Virginia, so being closer to home or in-state tuition could have been a factor....

Ugh... was supposed to close on the new house by mid-Aug... now being told Sept 5th. Puts opening day in jeopardy for me. Rowan/Widener has become a family thing. Me: Glassboro St (Rowan) Dad: Pennsylvania Military College (Widener).

Dad gets more love when Rowan is at Widener (President's box and a premium food spread), then I get in Boro... and the dry home game tailgate sucks... but I'm hoping we can get the close done during the last week of August.

Cross your fingers.

Bummer... the entire slate of US Little League WS games were rained out today. I was looking forward to watching NJ playing... kids from Elizabeth... they can hit.

I'm getting ready to binge-watch 7 games tomorrow starting at 10am.

Thanks for the heads-up CNU85.  Rowan was in the middle of updating their 2019 roster today when I jumped to their site, I'll be busy the next few days analyzing the updated roster!  I already see a few key names missing  :'(, but the new additions are also very interesting ( including a QB transfer from Rutgers  8-) )
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Perhaps. Distance is probably not a factor since he is from Nova. Getting to Stevenson is probably easier than snaking your way down the nonsense called I-95 and I-64.  Tuition could be a factor. I couldn't find out of state tuition rates for Stevenson, but just the published rates on their website shows it is double that of CNU. $50k v $25k

As a private school, it wouldn't have out-of-state rates, right?

A pretty quiet game for Joe Callahan last night in the Ravens-Packers game.  He only got 2 series and had one good pass in the mix.

Oh yeah...duh! You can tell I have little exposure to private institutions.

CNU85

will be interesting to see the final roster info. It is still being updated. So far it looks like CNU landed 2 guys from Maryland and 2 from NJ.

Went to an event today at CNU renaming the football stadium. It is no longer POMOCO. It is now TowneBank Stadium. Chatted with the HC, he seemed pretty stoked about the season! Very energized!

The little leaguers from NJ beat Oregon 6-2... they take on Hawaii on Sunday.  ;D

Oh my gosh....I thought D3 football preseason camps were open and I was on the football boards. Must have clicked the wrong link and landed in Little League Land!

Go NJ! A few years back, a Little League team from Maine-Endwell near Binghamton captured it all!

On Saxon Warriors! On to Victory!

It was a big league type throw through. Haven't seen Jackson or McSorely make that one yet.

Like that CNU price. Visited Stevenson with my college-bound daughter last week and she liked the campus. I have mentioned CNU as an attractive place too. Just wondering if you can adopt her this year to get some of that in state tuition?

I was lucky enough to attend Rowan's open practice at Ocean City High School on Saturday. This was the 8th year for Rowan to hold a practice or scrimmage at Ocean City. The Profs enjoyed perfect, breezy weather for their 3rd practice of the summer. The team went through  multiple periods during the ~2 hour practice. Overall the team looked great but there is always room to improve. A few folks stood out.

QB's Mike Husni and Nick Couzzi were the best of the QB bunch. Husni throws hard and almost all his balls are spirals. Couzzi's passes are sometimes wobblers, but he also threw a few bullets during the passing drills.

Abu Kaikai (6'4, 200) made a few fantastic catches. At 6'4, he's is a tall target and looked more like a tight end against smaller DBs.

Mike Chumra (5'10, 240)- Chumra (a freshman) was solid during the OL drills.

Matt Durham (5'10, 185) was one of the more aggressive Defenders during the Offense vs Defense drills.

Ifreke Andy (6'0, 210) will likely be the #2 RB. He's both quick and big. Carlton Coleman (a massive 230 lbs RB) proved to be a good pass catcher out of the back field.
