Interesting info.

Take out Salisbury and Wesley....

Nobody else in NJAC has a winning record. So, I was thinking that's because the NJAC beats up on each other......HOWEVER.......
The only other team with a winning non-conf record is Willy Pat at 2-1. So that means the NJAC, other than SU, WC and WP has a non conf record of 2-13

hmmmmmmm

Overall the league is not very good this year.  Some of the teams have had tough loses, but they are loses.

I would have liked to have seen how Frostburg would have fared this year in the NJAC. Do they beat Wesley and take them out of a Pool C? Do they beat Salisbury and take the NJAC from them and bounce Salisbury to a Pool C. I think the NJAC caught a big break with Frostburg moving on................

The last 4 years, prior to Frostburg leaving the NJAC, the coach there was doing a great job with getting talent in the building. Over the last three years, the point differential between Salisbury and Frostburg was only 14 or an average 3.5 points with most games either going into late 4th quarter or overtime. To say we caught a big break in my opinion sounds like you are trying to trivialize what Salisbury and Wesley has done this year. I agree Frostburg was a great team the last 4 years, but they weren't blowing Salisbury out the window, it was some good games being played. I would love to play them again, but unfortunately and fortunately for them, we can't play them. We tried to get them on the schedule again this year, but due to their new conference affiliation it wasn't possible. I'd go on to say that there are a quite a bit of teams regionally and nationally that caught a break, because if they were in the NJAC, Salisbury, Frostburg, and Wesley could be sitting at 1 loss a piece and waiting to secure Pool C bids.

Also, with Frostburg going DII, they now offer scholarships to many kids in Western PA and the whole DMV, which was prime recruiting for Salisbury, Wesley, and some MAC schools.

No trivialization intended. As a data wonk (or geek) given my profession, data and numbers intrigue me. I've actually heard a few NJAC coaches mention "the break" with Frostburg moving on as they felt that it wasn't just a 4 year blip.................that Frostburg's stay at or near the top was going to be an annual occurrence. It really was more of a question. Would this year's Frostburg team (I know it's hard to say with a D2 program......................yet a current D2 coach, of a former top level D3 program in the Philly suburbs, hint, hint, said that the talent level between a top D3 program and an average D2 program is razor thin, at best) had beaten Wesley? Would they have beaten Salisbury? I don't know, I was just asking this board as they'd know more than anybody else.

Hard to say. If we're comparing current teams I'd say Salisbury would put up a good fight. Salisbury is a very tough team this year, and the triple option is always a tough challenge to go against. Wesley is also tough but they have been in some close battles, I'd think FSU would have the edge against the Wolverines. Had FSU stayed in the NJAC another season, they likely wouldn't have some of the guys on their team now (e.g., their UofAlbany transfer QB). I'm indifferent that FSU left, I just would prefer that the conference find a replacement so the teams aren't scrambling to fill out the schedule.

Wow.... Wesley sitting at #2 in the East. That is as good as you could have asked for.... barring upsets they are sitting pretty for a Pool C.

I think a lot of this will change over the next two weeks if Hobart enters the rankings and Union finish undefeated. They'd have a chance to jump to #1 if Ithaca beats Cortland, which would also add another East team to the bracket, possibly eliminating the #1 East Regional team from facing Mount in 3rd round instead of possible flight to UMHB as they would be the #1 overall seed as defending champs and ER #1 being the lowest #1.

Big game for Rowan tomorrow against on the road CNU. I know both teams have been struggling this year, but this could be the type of game where CNU could have break out against Rowan's soft offense.

Fingers crossed for the Profs.

Mullin with a pick 6 early. 6-0 Kean. And like every home game this year, the video feed isn't working.

Wesley gets a safety after fumbling on the 1.
