The ODAC will have a more open schedule after this coming season as E&H moves to DII and SVU moves to USA South, leaving the ODAC with 7 teams and thus each team needing 4 OOC games. Looks like The Apprentice School is picking up some of that slack this year. Perhaps there is something in the works.

Averett is moving from USA South to ODAC next summer, looks like that was announced back in March. So there's an 8th team.

I forgot about that! Thanks for the reminder

Thanks CNU85, good to know.

Any insights on CNU recruiting this year?

Just what I've seen on twitter. It's so hard to tell until they show up and start playing. And sometimes it takes a couple of years before the recruiting class starts having real impact. I just am hoping 2-8 doesn't happen again!

TCNJ Football Releases 2021 Schedule

"With 35 returning seniors, we are in a different place in terms of maturity," Goff said. "It's a place we haven't been in during our first four years. We're ready to play some football."

Good to see the schedule up for TCNJ. Sad to see that 9 game only schedule.

Speaking of Keeler ....  he's still out there winning

No doubt about it. K.C........is a winner and I'm surprised he has never wound up at a higher level of college football. He had that D-1 transfer machine (not a knock) pumped and primed during his days at Rowan and has it, to a lesser degree at SHS. I've just thought that a big boy or two would have come a calling by now given his track record.

The Mole

Wearing sunglasses during night games, the constant scowl, running up the score on lesser foes and living and dying on transfers are not the characteristics larger programs are looking for...just my 2 cents. He is exactly where he belongs

There is something there that I could never put my finger on.  He must have rubbed Deleware fans/boosters/admin if they went to fire him after what looks like a very good coaching record there.  But, hearing him on the Paul Finebaum show and listening to him on some post game press conferences, I do have a feeling someone at the D1 level will be taking a shot at him.  Paul and others seemed very impressed with him as well.  If you didn't know him (I guess I don't either) he seems like a very passionate guy who cares about his players and basically wins wherever he goes.

The Mole

He is a Delaware alum, that tells you something. He won that national championship with Tubby's players (and 2 huge transfers: QB Andy Hall from GA Tech and an all ACC DE from Duke) against a Colgate team that caught lightning in a bottle. That probably humbled him, because it appears he has toned down his tough guy act while at Sam Houston. Has a pretty good track record, but from what I have heard, he is not the mentoring type for players or coaches. When he was at Rowan it was viewed as a renegade, free for all program with no academic standards. I was coaching at a MAC program at the time, and some of the players he had were 25 years old. I could go on and on. Successful coach, no doubt. Win at all costs, no doubt. Then he's a guy to consider, but an acquired taste, for sure.

Although with this transfer portal charade, "living and dying on transfers" is not just a K.C. thing anymore (see Utah transfers for the 2021 season as just one example). That transfer portal is a joke!! I'm close to several MAC programs and have been for many years. Rowan was a renegade program for the K.C. years and it was all about him. He has toned it down a bit................but a snake never truly changes it's colors. ;)

The Mole

I agree Cozen. The portal, and NIL and Covid have all changed the college football landscape forever. The transfer portal is a cesspool. More SAs in the portal than available scholarships. Whatever happened to competition and earning your spot? Transfers have never been at the fabric of what D3 is all about--getting an education and playing for the love of the game. It happens and always will for a variety of reasons, but when you are "paying to play", I do no not see this as having alot of legs for most D3 programs. That being said, most high school players and parents in particular, are truly delusional about "Johnnie getting a scholarship." They have no clue how good the level of coaching and play is at D3. In addition, lots of guys "slip through the cracks" and have great careers in D3. In retrospect, no one in 5, 10 , 15 or 20 years will care what level you played, if you got a scholarship and how many tackles you made or TDs you scored or threw. Most cannot see the big picture. Not an accident when the respectable high school player that loves the game gets bigger, faster, stronger and develops in college versus the "D1 or bust" mentality player that takes the PWO and realizes they will never see the field and quit during training camp. Happens frequently. Get an education and PLAY where you are wanted. Sorry for the rant, have watched the recruiting process very closely over last few years and its actually comical.
