Solid effort by the Profs against the #22 team

I rewatched of the game, and some of the penalties against Rowan (in the first half) were suspect. Either the penalties weren't caught on camera or they were borderline penalties (oh well)

I'm very excited to see Rowan kickoff NJAC games next week
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Congrats to Salisbury. What a game!  I hate the loss, but CNU at 2-2 is a very good team. Losses to then #7 Hopkins and tonight against #9 SU.

10 lead changes tonight. 7 in second half. Crazy.

Congrats to CNU on a hard fought game. The game lived up to the billing for the Route 13 Rivals. Each  offense was making big plays all game, really thought that whoever had the ball last was going to win. A Crazy statistic is that the average scoring drive 70 yards. There weren't many turnovers except an interception thrown by Salisbury QB (It appeared he had already made his decision to throw to specific receiver after missing him on a previous drive and CNU realized that too, thus being in great position on INT). If he settles down like he did in the 2nd half, a lot of the missed throws early will be touchdowns, trust the reads, the line is giving him time. My thoughts on Salisbury, it appeared that they stayed true to being balance with both the run and pass, considering CNU at times had 8 players in the box and appeared to play press man on receivers, which Salisbury made them pay dearly throughout the game. Special teams played well, pk made all xp and fg attempts. Now, kudos to CNU offense, their OC made some good calls, but it was the playmakers that made plays. I was disappointed in the Tackling of Salisbury, CNU playmakers appeared to break at a minimum 2/3 tackles per catch/run. I think defensively Salisbury needs to get back to basics, but keep the aggressiveness. Now the secondary appeared to be in great position all game, they just didn't turn their head around. I think that needs to be fixed ASAP. Not sure the next few weeks they will be challenged, but come Rowan and definitely TCNJ, they will be challenged on 50/50 plays. Secondary just need to trust themselves and skill and get head turned around. Again, they were in good/great position all game, just trust your ability and make play on ball.  Also, have to do a better job in pash rush lanes, CNU QB made a lot a plays by stepping outside of pocket and on a few occasions stepping up.

Overall, it was great game to watch, a great atmosphere for the fans for a night game, especially win the good guys come out on top.

Preseason pundits said the NJAC was irrelevant,  I'm not an expert, but I see alot of good teams in the NJAC this season including Salisbury and CNU. TCNJ and their passing attack have been on fire too.

Not sure what my analysis means, but here it is anyway.

NJAC is 12-10 in Non-Conference games.
NJAC is 7-8 vs Centennial
NJAC is 5-2 in non conference and non CC games.

Solid win by the Professors in Glassboro over a tough TCNJ squad. The Prof defense held steady forcing 5 turnovers, and the offense was efficient including an impressive 30 first downs. 3 Rowan QBs saw action in the winning effort.

Next week will be tough against CNU, it's a long commute for a midday game. CNU certainly has the home field edge.
Go Rowan! Brown & Gold!

Solid game!  Great job closing it out!!

Kudos to CNU, tough game.   Profs has some bright spots.  Hard to come-back from the 1st quarter mistakes.

I couldn't really follow the clock, can't tell if there were issues with the clock, didn't seem like the officials were doing anything about it expect for the one play were a minute ran off after a kickoff went out of bounds

The clock operator must have been new. The refs had to correct the clock numerous times. Sometimes it was for only 2 seconds. But CNU needs to get that resolved.

That was a tough game. I was nervous in the second half. Rowan came out swinging. To me, it seemed the Profs were relentless on 3rd downs. The stats show 5-15 efficiency, but I swear it seemed more like 10-15. They were also 3-6 on 4th down. There were a lot of things about this game that you could comment about, but the thing that stands out the most to me is holding Rowan to 81 yards on the ground.

The refs were out of synch and talked too much. I noticed the Ref on one play was positioning the Umpire, telling him where he should be.

Also, kudos to both coaches for not letting the players shake hands after the game. It was getting chippy. The CNU coach did go over to the Rowan bench to shake hands with players and coaches.

Good win for the good guys this past Saturday. Salisbury is still without their starting QB and it showed. Salisbury was unable to become balance as in earlier season games and heavily relied on QB runs. The Defense played very well with the exception of Montclair's TD Drive, which was aided by some great runs by their QB. The special teams was great all game and got an fg and a turnover. Overall, it was great game! Not sure when the starting QB will return, but hopefully this week against a good Rowan team for Homecoming. The 2nd string QB was listed as a RB on depth chart and although the offense was moving, it looked eerily similar to last year inefficient offense, it was no flow, especially with the fumbles and not properly pitching the ball. I think the 3rd string QB that relieved him later has a higher ceiling and a strong arm and big body (future looks bright). Looking forward to a great crowd this upcoming Saturday for homecoming.

Big game for Rowan this weekend!  Should be a great test against a top notch program.  Will hopefully answer the question How good are the Profs?  Was Ursinsus just a fluke, like I believe, or a true result of where this team is/was?  One thing is for sure they cant start out slow like the did vs CNU!

Rowan28

Tough loss!  Did a much better job of starting out fast! Just need to close it out!

Looking at some stats for the year. Specifically, I am looking at CNU QB, Connor Barry.

The stats have him playing in 7 games. Reality is that he has started 5 and the game against Gettysburg he only played in the first half. The first two games he played a very limited role. Against Trine he threw only 1 pass. Against JHU he was 2-5 for 14 yards.

Based on 4.5 games, he is averaging 332 ypg. He is also averaging over 15 yards/completion and over 11 yds/attempt

Other stats:

Comp     Att     YDS     TD      INT    Rushing TD
Gettysburg   12   15   260   2   0   0
Salisbury   34   44   443   4   0   0
Dickinson   20   32   261   2   1   2
Rowan      15   21   143   2   0   0
Kean           17   22   389   2   0   1
Totals           98   134    1,496    12   1   3
         332
                        (4.5 games)

73.1% completions

I'm liking that he is a sophomore!

Also, for the second time in CNU history, 2 WR received over 150 yards in the same game. Hart and Hayes are having an excellent season. And they are Juniors.
