can't believe their's no talk about the big game this weekend..... Cortland at TCNJ will set the tone for the top runners in the NJAC this year and no words??..... lets get some talkin goin!!

Cortland hasn't won in atleast 4 years (maybe more) can they finally get the win and start their season 2-0 in the same # of years?

TCNJ.... can they still hang around with Rowan or do they fall to the bottom??....

BIG GAME!! I got C-State 24-10

Pat Coleman

The TCNJ I saw last doesn't beat the Cortland I saw at Cortaca last year. And that and $3.09 will by you a gallon of gas around here. :)

By the time the Rowan game rolls around TCNJ will be better than it was in Week 1. That and their ability to get up for their rival might let the Lions hang in there with Rowan on that particular Friday night, but I wouldn't put them in the same class this season.

And if NJ can't beat the Cortland from the Cortaca game from last year, that doesnt say too much about them!

I chose my words with that in mind. :)

RU Fan,

Run defense has always been one of CNU's strengths, regardless of player turnover.  They'll be strong again this year.

Prof o-line was a lot quicker over this time last year, and it showed with all of the nice lead blocking.  The receivers also did a nice job blocking.

I was happy with the overall performance, they just need to step it up in the redzone.

Prof D did a good job.  One lapse after a personal foul led to a TD and the special teams bit on a fake reverse for KO TD.  Other than that they kept things in order until the offense could punch it in.

Far from perfect, but plenty to build upon.

We will see some NJAC play this week. Another tough one for TCNJ, and we should get a good indication of how good Cortland is. Willy P and W.Conn should be interesting. I think W.Conn will win but not cover the spread. My Red Hawks do not have a conference game until 10-1 against Cortland. We have Frost and the Gulls. Hopefully we will be battle tested and ready for the NJAC. A loss to Rowan will probably knock anyone out of contention with maybe the exception of Cortland ,if they only have one loss to Rowan. Rowan is indeed the team to beat, but anything can happen in the NJAC and I hope the last game of the year for MSU will be a game for our playoff chances. A lot of things have to go right for my Red Hawks, but that is why we play the games. :D

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

a very well placed source down in ewing made this comment to me regarding the state of the lions as of  now , quote ," we have kids running around out ther right now that have no clue... no clue at all "... there will be only 6 seniors in uniform tomorrow & 1 is the kicker..out of the 22 starters only 10 of them played  any substancial minutes last season... still, a bunch of tough kids, smart kids & a very good coaching staff... give them time... tomorrow they will probably be overmatched, but not for long... there is a lot of potential there... for now it's rebuilding time

I disagree with you about CNU's tough run defense.  I thought that they looked average at best.  They may have been tough in the past but this group of Captains has a way to go.  Also, are you saying that the strength of a defense is not affected by player turnover?
What's that mean?  ???

I also thought that the RU  D played well all day.  Another blitz here, another blitz there would have made it more interesting but they got the job done.

The RU  O also played well.  Red Zone performance was certainly affected by the 3 decisions to go for the FG on 4th down and relatively short yardage.  The O can't do better in the Red Zone if the ball is taken out of their hands to kick.

I agree that there is a lot to build on and, a xGSC said, it appears that the BEAST IS BACK

Yea if TCNJ can't beat the '04 cortaca team then...... then they should be lookin forward to the kean n willy p games to keep then out of last!

So everyone's looking past everything else and looking forward to Oct. 15th (RU at C-state) to decide the NJAC? that what i'm hearing? wouldn't be too bad to hear!.... We're due!

here we go NJAC!!

RU Fan,

I'm saying that from an organization standpoint CNU (coaches, players) they are typically a good run defense.  I think we'll see the Captains continue to improve on defense over the course of the year.

It will be interesting to see how they play the option style of Salisbury.

Isn't Brockport playing Salisbury today???

Sorry JT, misread your post.  I know you meant   WHEN  they play Salisbury..
