2-0 for the first time in...... who knows how long??

John McGraw

First time 2-0 since 1997..MacNeil's first year. More thoughts when I get home from Ewing

TWO MAC teams in the top 25 is an absolute joke!!  >:(

I'm sure many other conferences deserve a second top 25 team over the MAC!  :-\

NJAC would be a start!!!! ;)

ACMob,

I agree. Rowan and Cortland @ #25. ;D
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

ACMob

Dave,

GOOD LUCK to your boys next week!!!

FU should be a tune-up for SU!!  GO NJAC!!!!!

By Willy P. beating Wilkes and then Wilkes shutting out Widener, what can be said of the state of WU football??? :o

YoungCougar

Congrats to Cort.  An early bye week for us and hopefully during the week our boys remember what happened to them  last year at CORTLAND.  It will be a good test for KU to see where we are this year.  Especially with Cortland out of the gate 2-0.  Let's hope we're ready and we can get out to a 2-0 start.

The Cortland-TCNJ game story is up at my website (link below).  I'm real happy with the pictures this week, and must say I was inspired by the great job JT did with the Rowan-CNU game.  Gotta love those high end consumer digital cameras!   ;D

Most of my opinion is already in the story.  I will say I thought TCNJ played tough and inspired, especially coming back from 13-0 very early and 20-7 at the half.  TCNJ fans will probably say the offense played bad, but so did Brockport last week.  The Cortland defense is very disruptive - it's their best unit in a long time.  They tend to make teams look worse than they are.

The Cortland offense on the other hand was decent good enough.  The ground game controlled the ball, the passing game was efficient if not spectacular, and the special teams showed improvement.

Should be a fun season.  Kean will test us next week, Buff State did not exactly embarrass themselves against IC, and Montclair is always tough.  Cortland just needs to take one game at a time and let the defense carry them until the offense is more fluid.

Anyway - great job to my in league cohort JT over at rival Rowan.  We are getting some great coverage of NJAC D3 Football, something you won't see in the conventional press.

AC Mob...we used to say that about the NJAC....

Let them play it out before you throw that dart....

I have much more faith in Pat's opinion than yours...

Pat Coleman

I'm not sure I would replace Albright with a second NJAC team but I am definitely less impressed with Albright after yesterday.

bman, I got alot more faith in Pat than me also!  Honestly, I'd put Bridgewater there for now!! ::)

Dan,

Thanks for the kind words.  I think having to work with technology over the past four seasons has helped.  With the shutter lag of the early years one had to be dead on and actually have to fire the shutter ahead of the potential good shot.

Then you'd be stuck watching other good shots get away while the camera saves the previous shot.  Now I have a real camera... rapid fire, a real lense (no more digital zoom).  I'd like to think that working with inferior equipment is making me a better photographer today.

I hope I continue to improve.

It would be nice to get some student or alumni help on a regular basis.  What if I start having little LB's of my own?  Don't think I'd make as many games then.

BTW you got some nice shots too.

Jeez, its grown quiet in here again. Hard to believe the season's actually going on. I know its only going to be week three but the NJAC slate gets in full swing this weekend with everyone in action and two conference games with West Conn facing Rowan and Cortland traveling back to New Jersey to play Kean. Plus, Montclair, Paterson and TCNJ all have non-conference games against not-so great opponents (no offense to Frostburg, Plymouth State and Florham but you appear to be cannon fodder this week).

West Conn will face their first test against Rowan after squashing I-AA non scholarship St. Pete's and Willy P. Rowan comes in with two weeks to get ready after beating Christopher Newport at Newport in week one. This is a game that Rowan should win, especially with two weeks to prepare combined with the fact that its the home opener in Glassboro. WCSU defense has good numbers from last wk against Paterson, but Rowan's offense is a lot better. I suspect Orihel shreads the WCSU secondary and the Profs defense shuts down the WCSU offense and DiMeglio.

Cortland and Kean. Having seen the Red Dragons the first two weeks, I think if they keep up their high level of play, a win should be in the cards. As mentioned last week, Cortland doesnt' usually play well in New Jersey against the Kean's, Paterson's, and  NJCU's (not anymore) on the road but I don't think that stops them here. Cortland handled Kean last year in Cortland, I suspect much of the same this year but not as much of a blowout. Kean will play tough but losing Steve Skakum on defense and their two best receivers from last year Tolu Adeyemi and Jasonus Tillery can't help matters. Cougars will need an inspired effort from Roque, Hankins and their backfield on offense, and a super human effort on defense. Even that I think won't be enough.

Red Dragons football will be on the internet again...yay!

I just wanted to point out that, before this post, this board was last in terms of recent activity - behind the NEFC.

Just thought I'd point that out. :)
