Montclair 3-0 over Kean in OT

Can't wait for Dave to fill us in on this gem! I can't imagine what was more exciting – watching the football "action" or the torrential rain rolling off the opposite sides of the old fashioned, hunchbacked astroturf!

I'll just hang tight, watch Rutgers blow another game and see how much negative Karma RUFan can rack up.

I was just chilling at the keyboard and thinking about how nice I've been to you lately and then you have to rattle my cage.  You know what a caring and sensitive person I am. Shame on you!  :-\

Alert your loyal legions of admirers to prepare for your defense.  After some introspective pondering, just to liven things up a bit, I'll hunt and peck a retaliatory post later in the week when the board cools down ....... after everyone digests this weeks games.

Until then, thanks for remembering me ;D

Got back a little while ago. I still feel wet. These were the worst conditions I have seen. The Montclair defense was great today. On the other hand the offense, well what offfense. 3 and out was the word of the day. Thats what happens when your O line is 1 Jr and 4 sophs. I have not seen the numbers, but I will guess that the D was on the field 75% of the time. They are to be commended. There were a lot of fumbled snaps. I can not emphasise how bad the rain was !!! The O has to give the D a rest. 3 and outs will not cut it. During OT we had third and real long. Ferriol scrambled close to a TD and we got the field goal. When Kean got the ball Sal Fama caused the turnover and game over. A win is a win and I'll take it.

Was able to make the halftime ceremonies for Sam Mills.  What a downpour.  Hung out in the tents waiting for it to start.  Interviewed a few people, but couldn't get Bart Oates.  Said he'd talk to me but bailed right after the presentation.  Oh well, the weather was awful so I guess I don't blame him.

More in the ATR later this week.

JT,

You gotta rub it in. You in the tents and me cheering them on from the top of the 50. I will take the "W"  :D

Dave,

Gotta protect the camera gear.  If it was reasonably dry I would have covered the whole game.

I was standing next to Bart Oates right before the ceremony... here was basically the exchange.

Me:  Hi Bart, I'm covering this for d3football.com.  Can I ask you a few questions about Sam when this ceremony is over.

Him:  Where are you from?

Me: d3football.com

Him: btree dot what?

Me: d3football.com we cover Division 3 college football

Him:  What's D3 football

Me:  Small college, non-scholarship football  (pointing to the players on the field) them.... Sam too.

Him: Oh yeah.... sure.

Me: So I'll meet you back at the tent to ask a couple of questions about the Philly Stars days with Sam.

Him: Sure.

End result... he vaporized.  He didn't look to happy to be there in the bad weather.

JT,

Sounds like he needed to go to the gas station for a few bells of air. ;) Talk about being prepared. :o I was also shocked to see Cole there. That did impress me. It took my daughter to graduate for it to happen. ::)

Congratulations!

3-0 win is the same as any other win.  What's the difference if its 43-40 or 3-0 ???

Feel good about the win!

its desicion saturday in the NJAC!! even though most of the NJAC/Jersey lovers would love for the automatic bid to come down to tcny/ru..... not this year or the last few either!! so lets get this room going its time for a champion to be crowned!!

rams1102

cstater,

The last big game was when MSU beat Rowan at home. Not TCNJ. Get your facts straight. They were nocked out of the play-offs. We paid the price the next year. Boy did it hurt at home. >:( You guys are a tough team, don't get too cicky and let's see what happens this Saturday.

ACMob,

Let's not get too crazy. ;)

Pick-Em is set up with the exception of the spreads. Off on a business trip and not back until Thursday night. I'll fill them in then, unless someone elso wants to do it earlier. It's on the Pick-Em board.
