You really can't call Cortland co-champs when the NJAC.net website lists the Profs as the sole champs (lest we forget Oct. 15 @ Cortland).

...and belated congratulations to the Profs for thumping Wilkes in the first round.

Anyone out there know what sort of offense/defense Union runs ?
Looking at their schedule it appears that they are on a bit of a roll (offensively)....However , it looks like they've struggled scoring in several games , especially against some lesser teams.

Also , in reading the game summary , it looks as though Union's kickoff team needs some work...One for a TD and another of 64yds. vs. Ithaca.

Pat ,  where is the game going to be played ?  Somewhere on D-3 , I saw "at a sight TBD ".Is it turf or grass ?

JT .It was great to finally meet you on Sat...........Keep up the great work on Rowan football.com

Ill tell ya from the one game I saw.

Union runs an multiple I Pro 75% of the time with shotgun 25% of the time.  They always passed out of the gun.

Unions oline is the best part of their team, they gave the qb #5 great time to throw and gave RB#1 great holes.

#1 is a stud RB, small but quick and tough.  Not super fast but if you dont rap him up he will take it 10 yards or more every time.

#6 wr was the best in the Ithaca game, but I guess the other one had better stats, I didnt really notice him.

Very balanced offense, the qb was amazing and threw maybe 3 bad passes the whole game.

Unions D is a 5-2 with 2 safties.  Very small dbacks, and small linebackers.  They didnt get pushed around and played tough, but their defense is definitly their weakness.

To beat Union, you need the following.

-You need a good pass rush.  If you give thier qb the time he needs he will pick you apart.

-You need to pass the ball.  Unions pass defense was average, and they can be thrown against by a good team.  Play action/bootlegs worked well against them.

-Special Teams.  Union had an average kicker who cant kick it past the 15 yard line on kickoffs.  Id expect him to squib it this week against Rowan.

-Rowans defense has to be ready for everything.  Union can run every play, screens, shotgun, wr screens, toss, counter, trap, bootleg, draw.  Unions rbs pick up the blits very well from the outside, Id try inside blitzes more.

-Rowan has to tackle well.  If they dont tackle well, Unions #1 will break it long.

JU,

Based on your synopsis, Union is in for a long day. At least they won't have a long ride home from the game.

GO ROWAN and LONG LIVE THE BORO!

J U .............Thank you very much for the scouting report.

Cortland and Rowan shared the DJAC title with both having 5-1 records in the conference. Cortland lost to Rowan, while the Profs lost to William Paterson. How's that for facts, you ass?

Dr. xGSC

BUDtheMORON,

Go crawl back into your hole as you surely are factless and clueless.

Gro's season has been over since 2001 (thanks Ithaca) and today is exceptionally slow in the office. Take a clue from JT and Knightstalker and have some fun on the posts.

It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.
