BUDtheMORON,

Go crawl back into your hole as you surely are factless and clueless.

Here's the numbers, ass.
(from D3football.com)

Rowan 5-1 in conference, 9-1 overall --

Cortland State 5-1 in conference, 7-3 overall

Read 'em and weep, beyotch.

From the Official NJAC site:
NJAC Champs
Rowan is the NJAC champions, no co-champs they beat Cortland head to head, therefore no ties.  The WPU games have no impact on the championship, the NJAC primary tiebreaker is Head to Head competition and therefore Rowan wins the NJAC and Cortland is the runner up, regardless of how you much Rove spin you give it.

You are still a moron, but more importantly, you are even MORE clueless than before.

Doc, relax. prescribe yourself something. That is the same smack you were talking last year as Rowan blasted through the east region into a 52-0 gang rape at the hands of linfield. Didn't you coin the phrase gorrila stomp just for that occasion?

Worry about union, they won the LL.

Long stink the Boro!

OK... i'll concede to knightstalker. I automatically assumed because they both had the same record, they would share the conference title. But since Cortland lost head to head to Rowan, I guess there would be no tie.

Only a real man can admit when he's wrong.

Anyone out there know what sort of offense/defense Union runs ?
Looking at their schedule it appears that they are on a bit of a roll (offensively)....However , it looks like they've struggled scoring in several games , especially against some lesser teams.

Also , in reading the game summary , it looks as though Union's kickoff team needs some work...One for a TD and another of 64yds. vs. Ithaca.

Pat ,  where is the game going to be played ?  Somewhere on D-3 , I saw "at a sight TBD ".Is it turf or grass ?

JT .It was great to finally meet you on Sat...........Keep up the great work on Rowan football.com

Ill tell ya from the one game I saw.

Union runs an multiple I Pro 75% of the time with shotgun 25% of the time.  They always passed out of the gun.

Unions oline is the best part of their team, they gave the qb #5 great time to throw and gave RB#1 great holes.

#1 is a stud RB, small but quick and tough.  Not super fast but if you dont rap him up he will take it 10 yards or more every time.

#6 wr was the best in the Ithaca game, but I guess the other one had better stats, I didnt really notice him.

Very balanced offense, the qb was amazing and threw maybe 3 bad passes the whole game.

Unions D is a 5-2 with 2 safties.  Very small dbacks, and small linebackers.  They didnt get pushed around and played tough, but their defense is definitly their weakness.

To beat Union, you need the following.

-You need a good pass rush.  If you give thier qb the time he needs he will pick you apart.

-You need to pass the ball.  Unions pass defense was average, and they can be thrown against by a good team.  Play action/bootlegs worked well against them.

-Special Teams.  Union had an average kicker who cant kick it past the 15 yard line on kickoffs.  Id expect him to squib it this week against Rowan.

-Rowans defense has to be ready for everything.  Union can run every play, screens, shotgun, wr screens, toss, counter, trap, bootleg, draw.  Unions rbs pick up the blits very well from the outside, Id try inside blitzes more.

-Rowan has to tackle well.  If they dont tackle well, Unions #1 will break it long.

To follow up on JU's comments:

- be aware of the cutback.  Seemed like Union ran a ton of off tackle runs, and the Union RB did a lot of cutting back.  It also seemed to me that the inside runs from guard to guard went nowhere.

- Union did a great job of finding the open space.  It seemed to me, a few others around me, that whenever the Bombers went man, they played better, or at least had players closer to the ball.  They hit the seams with their TEs a good amount of time.

- IC ran a lot of underneath patterns, that were open all day.  With 2 deep safeties, crossing routes worked a lot.

- I think that inside runs also worked well for IC.

- Union's kickoff team is awful.  AWFUL.  Once they play a good defense, this could hurt them tremendously.
IC had good field position off of kickoffs the entire day.

- Lastly, they just really couldn't be stopped in the 4th quarter, so I really don't have any advice for you there :-\

That's alright, budcrew -- in most conferences you'd be correct. Most places award a shared conference title in that situation and award the automatic bid to the tiebreaker champ. Apparently the NJAC is different in that regard.

They used to have ties, I forget when the NJAC went to an "absolute winner" system.

bud,

you really are a genius, is montclair st. the njac champions too? you idiot

Tlm

Attached article from Cortland State website indicates that the Red Dragons were the "co-champions" of the NJAC......Maybe they didn't get the memo.

That is incorrect.  Co-champion is based upon record alone.  The NCAA berth is then determined via tie-breaker.  Get your panties out of a bundle.  At least I remember why I cannot stand posting here any longer.  Do you people ever have rational conversations, or do you just struggle to construct sentences in between insults?

Dan, not to be contrary, but the NJAC web site only cites one champion for this year. Surely that means something.

Whatever.  I'll just change it to best record in the NJAC.  I don't want anybody to mess their diapers around here.

Jonny Utah

For what it's worth, Cortland won the "Jonny Utah" NJAC team of the year award.
