RU Fan,

Thanks for the heads up... as I always love hearing any info on the PROFS.  Sounds like the boys are ready.  I just wish that they alluded to what possible transfers the Profs have coming in.  I guess we'll see soon enough.

GOOD LUCK PROFS!!!

GOOD LUCK PROFS!!!

The Rowan handout, talks about two transfers one is an LB from another D3 school and a kicker from Lackawanna.  So I don't think transfers are a major factor in 2006. There are two good Rowan players back after a hiatus from the team.

Accorsi is very high on the incoming Freshman.   The Profs are even deeper than last year.

Details soon.

Cortland State got hosed! How in the world can Street and Smith's and Football Gazette be all wrong about the Red Dragons by ranking them in the top 25?

They're not wrong. These coaches are! C-State should be in the top 25! The poll will not be right this season until Cortland is there and stays there!

It would be far from the first time.

Doesn't Street & Smith's have Wilkes ranked 10th? How'd they do against the NJAC last year again?

Next to Rowan, I think Cortland has one of the better defenses in D3.  Barring any major upsets you'll see Cortland slowly rise.  The non-East region voters will catch on if Cortland performs as they should.

BTW... The Stys twins who would be Junior Wr's did enlist in the military.  According to team sources the twins have a strong conviction/calling to "fight the war on terrorism"

One teammate said that the Stys were in the 101st Airborne (Army), but then Accorsi said Parris Island, which makes them Marines. I would guess the coach is right.  The boys will be deployed to Iraq in September.

Orihel told them that he really respects their decision and that he will miss two great receivers this year.  He also told them to be smart and stay safe.

The Stys' father was a military man, so I guess the apples don't fall far from the tree.  I hope that in three years we see the Stys lined up wide and trying to win a title for the Profs.

JT,

I agree with your statement on Cortland.

What really bites is that the NJAC Media Day was over yesterday, and the NJAC had no release on D3 Football. I'm only speaking as a MSU fan, I would like to know what's going on with the Red Hawks. I guess I will do what I did last year and visit Sam Mills Field next Sat and talk to a few friends. Why do I have to wait till then? And what is Scala up to, I guess doing what he is told to. In any event :

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

I have to save most of the stuff for the revenue generating 2006 preview.  Which helps keep this site running.

The weird thing is that I know more going in then the paid reporters.  Last year I was a little intimidated, but then I discovered that most reporters (and they are nice people) spend more time on Pro and high school sports.

This year, I'm casually rattling off questions about the Stys brothers, the coaching shake up at Kean etc.  And then the mainstream reporters are playing catch up.

But for the most part they are out-of-the-loop.  I wish I could repeat what one coach said about the capability of his local media (curses and all).  Basically he said that each week during the season was like training the reporters.  He couldn't casually mention something w/o fully having to explain himself.  Its like the media wasn't following the team beyond the known stars.

This makes me happy that for all the NJAC (SID) BS I've had to put up with I'm closer to each program than many of "real" media.

A lot of the real news forms right here on PP.  We follow up on posts and look really good.  Some posters have real insight.

Dave,

The Montclair D should be the strength of the team.  There will be some open competition at QB, including a nice transfer.  Buy the preview and support Pat to find out more.

JT,

As always, I'm looking forward to your website again this year, as it is truely a great service you provide to many Rowan fans throughout the country.  I think that the Profs will once again dominate the NJAC.  In my heart, I believe that the Profs will finish the regular season undefeated, which will hopefully afford them home-field advantage during the playoffs.  Which hopefully means, no flights to the Pacific Northwest.

My 200th post!!!  Hopefully I can double that by Decemeber!!!

Hello everyone!, ahhh once again all the talk about the profs and Cortland, and once again everyone decides to leave out MSU. I will say this about my boys, watch out and I am not saying anything negative towards the other top teams in the NJAC, but there is alot of young talent on that team. They work extremely hard, and camp is really going to make men out of them. Some of these younger athletic guys will have the opportunity to play, with that, the vets and some TRANSFERS UH OH!!! Watch out.. Dave your the man!!!

Rams,

For whatever reason the NJAC doesn't seem to send us much info -- they could post info directly on the site but not every conference takes advantage.

4mer:

Congrats on your 200th post.  You are sure turning into a "Chatty Cathy". :)  I'm sure that by the time the season is over, all of our keyboards will be smoking!

That means that you are a "Starter" and I'm still a "Second Stringer" with 188 posts.

  Whats up with that? ???
