YoungCougar,

Welcome aboard.

Re : MSU - Bring it on. See ya later in the year !!! First things first, we have a heck of a battle in Springfield this week.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

The Great Pumpkin,
"Handling" downtown Paterson is not something you want to attempt. I've been going to NJAC games for almost 30 years and tried  a "new" route out of a TCNJ game a few years back – only to be dumped out in downtown Paterson on a Saturday evening. If you attempt it, I'm sure you'll have plenty of stories to tell the folks back home about. I mean how bad can the home of half the team of Abbott and Costello be? LOL, RIP.

Bill,
Unless TCNJ finds an offensive line they'll need to go three deep at quarterback! I fear the TCNJ academics have dealt a severe blow to having a competitive football program at TCNJ. Middle of the pack year for the Lions at best. FDU game a toss-up.

Young Cougar,
Sorry, but every team has to play football in bad weather with questionable refs from time to time. Good teams don't need excuses against the likes of KP. If the Kean administration backed the football team and didn't play back room politics you'd have coaching stability and maybe even a program headed in the right direction. As it is now, the verdict is out for a couple more seasons until the dust settles from the rediculous firing of the coach that was supposed to take the program to the next level (Hint: he could have!).

Amish Allstar

Thanks for the head up JT. It should be an interesting game in Amish country as F&M is having lights brought in (sponsored by Football Alumni Assoc) for the first ever night game.

Good luck this season!

Eric Hamilton is the still the NJAC HC that scares me the most.  I hope that they are not really trying to turn TCNJ into a women's college as some former football players have alluded to.

I like Eric personally, he's a complete nut during the game, but he switches to nice guy/interview mode right after the game win or lose.

I think this team will surprise a few people this year.  They were very inexperienced... graduating 22 seniors in 2004.  The big FB freshman came back from red shirt for 2006. Defense is the strength of the team.

Neither QB has a strong arm... and Struble's ball tends to float/sail under pressure.  I thought they'd get beat by LaSalle so I think they'll beat FDU this week.

Phil,

I completely disagree with you. Kean has a new start and they NOW they have the best chance to win. In years past the play calling, among other things, was very predicatable and unimpressive. I think that they needed a fresh start and they have one now. I guess we will have to see how the games go.

I guess we will agree to disagree.

Rams,

Any idea when the Pick 'em will be posted? I am headed up to Pulaski, NY for some Salmon Fishing tomorrow afternoon at 12 and through the weekend. Might try and catch the Cortland/Brockport game if the fish aren't biting.
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

Funny, I never pictured you as a fisherman...I figured you for the let's bring 6 quarter sticks of dynamite, net em up, and let's get some beers, kind of guy..... ;D

'gro

from the Kean athletics page...

Kean University football is in the midst of a resurgence that has it poised to challenge for the coveted New Jersey Athletic Conference championship

wow, a 10 year resurgence that has posted 4 wins as its best season.... Good luck!!

Doesn't the "re" imply that they were once a "surgent" team?

surgent

\Sur"gent\, a. [L. surgens, p. pr.] Rising; swelling, as a flood.

Swelling - that's just......swell.

Dr. xGSC

Bman,

Hows everything? This will be my 3rd trip up to NY (just got my annual shots for entry) and it is a blast (no dynamite). Salmon, Cigars, Beef, Booze and Neoprene Waders! What more can a 44 year old ask for..........no need to answer.

LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

Dr

Another week without a Rowan football game.  It almost seems unfair :'(

Any Red Hawks fans out there? We got a big one this Sat at Springfield. We need to put some life into the "O" and I'm sure Coach G. will have the Red Hawks prepared. It's time for another "W" but they don't come without a lot of hard work. Come home with a "w".  Play hard, play smart and most important play with HEART on both sides of the ball.

Looks like the Red Hawk fans are bringing the crickets to the NJAC boards this season.

Good luck to WPU this weekend (but more luck to the Statesmen!)
