"Phil" I have lived in LA for a combined 3+ years and have not had tofetch one cup of coffee, as for the "spots" you edit, I'm sure they have earned you millions and that's why while most successful editors spend the whole day in their bay's, you can sit and chat on a D3 message board.

While I enjoy Bon Jovi and Springsteen very much, I'm just not sure why people from NJ have so much pride in where they're from.  As a Bills fan, I attribute it to why Bills fans are so close nit.  When you are labeled by so many negatives you cling close to those who share your ailment and develop a sense of pride in it.  It's a bond formed by insecurities, you wouldn't get so mad if you didn't know that Rowan is competitive in D3 football because it has a nice crop of D1 "couldn't hack its' " (either atheltically or academically)

A friend of mine who passed away some time ago said it best "the best thing to come out of Jersey was an empty bus".

I really need to see three or four more weeks of games before I can give an opinion on everyone in the NJAC.  Is is basketball season yet, at least then I have a team to cheer for.

Why, because of maroons like you who form a negative opinion based on something they saw in an All in the Family rerun or a Sopranos episode.  Like I tell everyone, most of NJ is not like what people think NJ is like.  I should know, I live where they would stick the enema tube if the state was constipated.  You shouldn't just share your whit (sic) with the NJAC and E8, I would banter with the Liberty League and the MIAC too.

Wait a minute, you live in LA and are making fun of Jersey?  You got to stop inhaling the smog.

I don't dislike NJ, I have many friends that live there, I have actually been to Rowan, I just don't like Phil, and unfortunately there is going to be some collateral damage when I rip on him , but it's for a good cause..

I wouldn't worry much about that arse bombsaway.   He move to LA for the big time but a couple of years into it and he's finding out that his classy IC counterparts are making three times the amount he is.  He is the one carrying around the insecurity, can't you see the chip on his shoulder.  Whats the matter bomberboy you couldn't make it on the east coast!!!!

Stalker,

Take a stab at it, and how come you missed your picks last week? If you're back in I'll give you 4merprof's #'s from last week and re-total. NJCU had a great roach coach at the home football games.

We need to get some good topics going. Help. ;D
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Your friend who passed away stated, " the best thing to come out of NJ was an empty bus". Let me first say that I hope he did'nt die a coward like his father. Secondly I heard you are pulling tricks in West Hollywood as we speak. The reason you hate Bruce Willis is because he did'nt warn you before he popped and you had to swallow.

Did I hear you say somethin bombsaway?

Bombastaway,
Quote"Phil" I have lived in LA for a combined 3+ years and have not had tofetch one cup of coffee, as for the "spots" you edit, I'm sure they have earned you millions and that's why while most successful editors spend the whole day in their bay's, you can sit and chat on a D3 message board.

Where did I say I edit anything? Let's get this straight. I create the storyboard, hire the director, shoot the spot, review the dailies and then sit back on your couch sipping a latte while you toil away. While you're working into the night contemplating "Chinese or BK Value Meal", I'm off with the client to Patina for dinner and a Laker game (Hell, I hate La La land but I might as well make the most of it). Face it, I'm the NY (well New Jersey) a-hole that pays for your bay and subscription to "Post".

Frankly, I always thought it would completely suck to be an editor ... unless you're Walter Murch. LOL.

BTW, As per a previous post of yours, I would agree with your statement that Bills and Bomber fans might be "Close nits" – Jerseyans however, are "Close-knit".

...and stop making me stick up for Rowan. I don't like it one bit.

Well that was an annoying post.

Dave, I am in this week, I got home last friday night and the RU TCNJ game had already started.  Too late for picks.

90 to 95 percent of the students, faculty and staff of NJCU depend on that Roach Coach and the one his brother owns for breakfast and lunch.  Billy and Gus rule, gotta love the Greeks with roach coaches.

portgrad,
Thanks, I tried to make it as annoying as possible!

Dave,
Rowan and Cortland should both cruise. The Kean/Montclair and TCNJ/WPU matchups are more interesting. Besides the fact that the Red Hawks are currently in the thick of the NJAC race, behind closed doors I would imagine Coach G would dearly love to trounce Kean after the way the administration treated his former assistant in his first head coaching job. I don't know how he instills it in his Red Hawks, but I'm sure it will be on his mind.

FBking, it takes a real man, not just a king, a real man to take a shot at someone who died.  With that said, I assume you're saying you killed his father and he died dishonorably.  Which would reinforce my declaration of Rowan being criminals.  See, usually how it works tough guy, is you refute someone's argument not make it stronger.  But I don't expect to deal with a high intelligence level when talking to folk like you.  As for your west hollywood reference, another real zinger to make a homosexual reference towards someone living in California.  I guess all the creative classes they teach where you're from is how to hide your identity during a Seven-eleven hold up.

Phil, I've been to laker games floor seats, I've been to luxury boxes for the Kings, I just sat behind the mets on deck circle for the NLDS game 3, I go out to eat on the company 3 times a week.  I'm not where I want to be in my career, that much I'll admit, but don't think I'm living a life of fast food and studio apartments. (I actually live in a house that has a market value of 800,000) but like bportgrad said, it's annoying to measure our manliness on the postboard...

As for the rowan individual who thinks I can't "make it on the east coast" why would I want to? Make it in snow, rain, and cold?  Be miserable because I don't see the sun?  And I don't know anyone of my fellow grads making 3 times what I am, actually in many instances my take home is more.. but again, this board isn't about gloating and massaging our egos.

bottom line, if you think the Rowan program, while good the last half decade holds a candle to Ithaca's prestige, you need to go back to your juvi officers and tell them the GED's failed you and you need another class in history
