I just checked the weather on www.rowanfootball.com for Buffalo.  This is why I turned down a Buffalo job early in my career.  What a dump. Friends also warned me about the lack of hot women in the Buffalo area.  "Buffalo Betty's" chunky women in dressed in their best Jim Kelly jerseys and sweatpants.

Looks like the team with the least turnovers and best running game wins on Saturday.

With all due respect, when you live in Jersey you lose all right to call other parts of the country a "dump." Second of all, Buffalo is a mildly attractive city if you can get them before they turn 25. From there, it's all downhill, however. Third, you would be able to eat wings three times a week, at least, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Not looking to pick fights on this board, just some observations.

I'd still sell Buffalo to Canada for a 12 pack of Molsen and jug of Maple syrup.

Having worked on and off in Buffalo and lived in New Jersey...I'd rank them this way...

Visually
1.  South Jersey
2.  Buffalo
3.  North Jersey

Women

1.  Anywhere Else
2.  Anywhere Else
3.  South Jersey/Buffalo/North Jersey.....(tie)

Wing are wings these days...you can get good and bad everywhere....

You can't get good wings in New Orleans. I wish I was kidding. They're horrendous down here. I really don't know how it's possible that not one place can make those things correctly. I should start my own Wings restaurant down here. It would be a license to print money.

For the most part, the big hair days are over in NJ.  The women's looks in Northern NJ have improved, but their attitudes haven't.  Been with some pretty hot, South Jersey women in my day, so I can't complain.

Now does Jersey beat out, places in the South or out West... no.  But it certainly beats Buffalo.

PBR...

that is your first problem in eating wings in nola....you should be chowing on po' boy samiches non stop wash it down the a hurricane from o'briens  or a hand gernade....leave the wings to the north east....

Do it.  I know I guy that left NJ for NC and opened up a bagel place, and then another, and another.  Dude is loaded with a real hot girlfriend.

Wings aren't like pizza where a lot of the taste of NY pizza is the water.  Good buffalo style wings would work.  Go great with hurricanes or beer.

RE: Wings.

The funny thing about wings is that sometimes some random restuarant has the best wings.  Theres a place in Boston called Cityside (cleveland circle) that has outstanding honey BBQ wings (on the bone obviously)  Its not even a wingplace but they are good there.

I hear ya. I don't try to eat the typical northeastern fare, for the most part, but when I come upon a place that has wings, I have to give them a go. I have Roast Beef Po' Boys pretty regularly. Haven't yet made the leap to the fried shrimp or oyster ones, though.

The hurricanes and hand grenades are excellent. If there is a more potent drink in America than the hand grenade, I have yet to find it. Those things will bite ya. Both hurricanes and hand grenades are so sweet that I'm certain I'll have an ulcer by my 30th birthday. Oh well, comes with the territory.

Jersey still has the shore for viewing pleasures... buffalo has the bills cheerleaders... and even those can be skeptical.

When I went to Toronto for a conference in June, I got $105 Canadian for my $100 American. I thought the guy was kidding me.

Ill tell ya what though.  One of the best beers Ive ever had is this molson-export lite that I had a few years ago at the bar in the new molson center.  Fantastic.

MOLSON EX LIGHT
Lager, 4% alc./vol.

MOLSON EX LIGHT, the light beer with taste.
In 2003, as MOLSON EXPORT celebrates its 100th anniversary, MOLSON EX LIGHT is making its market début in Quebec. This new beer is the latest addition to the Molson brand portfolio in the province. Molson's master brewers have drawn upon their wealth of brewing know-how to bring beer drinkers a light, easy-drinking beer with a distinctive flavour all of its own.

John P....does that taste like Schmidts?

Jonny Utah

Dont think Ive ever had a smidts. (unless you mean smithwicks (sp?))

It tasted like a real good lite beer on draft.  Not sure if you know what I mean but to me, the best beer sometimes is a light beer (bud or coors) on draft with the perfect carbonation)  Thats what this beer tasted like. Just a good draft lite beer.
