All you guys had to do at the end of the game was to run the ball 4 times and if you did not score we would have gotten the ball approx on the 10 yard line, to go 90 yards  with about 30 seconds. Blame yourselves !!!

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rams,
You couldn't be more right.  The coaches play calling was the sole reason for the loss!!!

Hawkdad

When you win you have a big mouth, when you lose you blame it on the refs, all season you have been squeaking by. Grow up. You had your chance to put the Hawks away several times but failed. Stop crying,  :'(

Congrats to the Red Hawks and their superfan, Rams1102.

I will now listen to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" in your honor.

Nice win for my boys today!!! Yeah I mean the calls went both ways, I don't think you can say the refs are the reason why you lost, and I don't think the players from Rowan would say that either.  However, wow I cannot believe that you guys were still passing with two minutes left and we had no timeouts left, my mouth dropped, horrible clock management and playing calling at the end of the game. Jump was clearly down, it wasn't even a question, it was closer to the Red hawk sideline but jump was definitely down.  Still very exciting game to watch and be apart of I think Montclair showed that they can be a force to be reckoned with when they don't shoot themselves in the foot with miscues on both sides of the ball, and Dave were not going to the ECAC's this year, none off our programs are.

rams1102

HawksNation,

Why no ECAC'S this year ?  Do you know why the seniors were not honored, since this was their last home game ?
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Rowan looks to have a tough task not to lose 3 games this year w/ Cortland coming to town.

Hawkdad,
Your a jacka$$!, You come in with your 6th post and announce that.  What Rowan poster has had a big mouth after a win?  Quite the contrary, every single Rowan poster has come on and said how bad our victories have been offensively.  I'm sure this result did not shock any of the Rowan posters, considering the poor play calling and execution of the offense and the special teams this season.  So next time you post a statement like that, you should have your facts straight!

Hawkdad

Like I said  GROW UP,   SOUR GRAPES.....   ARE YA..

Hawkdaddy,

No sour grapes here.  I think it was a nice win for Montclairs program.  I have a respect for thier program, since I have personally been involved in some great games against them.

Your probably nothing more another overzealous father of a player (most likely a freshman, 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart) who feels the need to live through his kids life.  Keep up the good work, as I'm sure it will put a hex on your kids career!

I can see a big pissing contest starting. The game is over. We all have a lot to play for next weekend. A lot of things can happen. Rowan beats Cortland, we win out and Cortland loses the Jug. Lots can happen, so let the games begin.

rowanlb92,

I agree that you guys have criticized your team a lot and fairly. We are finailly getting some fan participation on the board, and as normal there are always disagreements. Our 2 new guys are a player and a parent. I remember when I first started hear I thought Phil was a jerk and wanted to kick his you know what. We have now tailgated a few times and know a little about each ones family. He is a good guy. I can't believe I said that. LOL Waz-Up Phil  ;D To be honest I was a little surprised at JT, but in his defense he is one of the best Rowan fans I have seen.

Good Luck To Both Teams Next Week !!!

rams1102,

1+ k for the classy response.  I can't believe I just did that for a Montclair fan. ???

this really blows my mind Rowan losing with a lead. I can remember when coach Acorsi would tellthe OC to chump chump... Meaning run the ball. I wonder if the OC ignored  the HC or said he didn't understand him. I said a long time ago  on my wish list that I wished Rowan would bring in run coordinator for the offfense. It turns out to bite them in the a$$4 again! In 2002 the OC tries to throw in the rain again cost us.

The OC has been known to get rid of good coaches when they don't agree with him.

Coach Acorsi be a man and find a run game cooerdinator to help the OC.

I won't debate people when I'm right.  Many times I complain about officials when Rowan wins. Sorry grapes have never been me after a bad loss.  WPU 2005... I basically said, Rowan didn't come to play, WPU did and capitalized on mistakes.  I wrote a nice ATR last year about how Miello coached teams beat teams their not supposed to beat.  I interviewed Miello, WPU players, and took pictures of the winning celebration. Geez I guess that was sour grapes too.  Linfield 2004... I wrote about how Linfield was simple the best.  I could go on.

Hats off to William Paterson

Simply the Best as Cats Shutout Profs

It sure seems like certain posters have short memories.

I was right there when Jump fumbled, and yes he did fumble and it was a TD.  I spent 16 years as a football official.  I know HS, College and NFL rules.  I thought I wanted to be a NFL official, but my career kept me too busy, and I missed being able to actually enjoy going to games.

This crew was sloppy.  Very bad machanics, caught out of position, bad spots, wrong penalty enforcement.  I even mentioned  to the chain crew (HS officials) that the sloppy work was going to lead to a really bad call, I just hope it doesn't happen here.  Turns out it quite profetic.

Generally, the officiating has been OK this year.  I just hope for OK... calls go both ways and nothing they do affects the game for either team.  Every year I see a really bad crew, but they usually don't affect the game that much. Thankfully.

Had that ref done the very basics of his job, the game is over and the bad play calling by Rowan is a moot point.  How can you not be watching the QB when he's back there passing and getting rushed?  That's unacceptable at the college level.  He even said, "I wasn't paying attention." Are you kidding me?  I don't know how Accorsi kept his cool.  KC would have went nuts and Bunting might have throttled the SOB.  Hopefully the ECAC will displine that crew.  I'd hate for them to do it to someone else.

Its over and I'm moving on, but those were my thoughts at the end of the game.  I bitch far less that many people.  You'd think that when I do, I might have a point.

Moving on....  That playing calling at the end was very confusing.  I wasn't near the end of the game team huddle on the field.  I only hover when they win because losing is more of a private situation and I consider myself an outsider.  I did hear second or third hand that Accorsi blamed himself for the loss.

One of the other keys was that Rowan was missing its QB on defense, safety Eric Bailey.  It was very evident on the long completions by the Red Hawks.  I hope he's OK for the Cortland game.  Every game now is a playoff game for the Profs.

I would have had Rowan as an underdog next week against Cortland even if the Profs had beat MSU.  I think Rowan can win, but they'll be up against it next week.  They'll need good coaching, good execution, some big plays, and plenty of emotion to get a win.

I stopped reading your post after that. For me, the only time I debate is when I'm right (or think so). You know, because I have proof and evidence and things? Seems to me like the webmaster of rowanfootballgivesmewood.com should have a better handle on resonable interaction than cryin' about referees. IC got screwed time and again by the refs yesterday, but got it done against the #1 team in the region. Stop being jealous because Rowan isn't featured on Around the East every week any more; that was sweet justice when y'all were bitching about that earlier this month. When IC wins the jug, you all can come over to the E8 board to talk about playoff teams if you want.

PS- bye bye karma, we've had some laughs....
