Actually those of you who think you know it all annoy those of us who do know it all.

"Ithaca know-it-all" = person of rational mind who does not subscribe to the notion that Rowan football is the be-all/end-all regardless of outcomes of games and/or seasons.

Doesn't this statement neccessarily imply you thinking that you know it all?  Does that mean that you annoy yourself?

knightstalker knows close to it all, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

How cute.  First its Max on top of Jose.  Then its Jose on top of Max.  Exactly who is the dominant one here.

realistic

is that really the best you guys can do?  It comes down to gay jokes.... really you guys are painting a great picture of Rowan and it's Alumni.  You all should be very proud.

We're waiting for you cutie.  You remember what it was like in the shower at Rowan with your ex-con teammates in 1992...right?

JT

Jose, I've forgotten more about football then you'll ever know.

realistic,

I know Rowan isn't the be all end all.  I'm involved in d3football.com and I stay on top of other regions and leagues as much as possible.  I read, visit other chat boards (usually don't post) just to stay up on things.

Since I've become involved in d3football.com I appreciate the bigger picture.  Regarding rowanfootball.com, I'm always on the lookout for volunteers (photo/writing).  I'd like to step back a little bit.  I love the photography end very much, but wish I had some writing help.  When I do get approached by students, they want to know how much it pays.  I say I'll let them know if the site ever leaves the red.

Unlike the mtunionfootball.com and bridgewaterfootball.com guys, I live far from campus.

If I had help, I might catch a couple of different games each year.  I'd like to go to a Shoes game and I'd really like to catch a Jug game one of these days.

I haven't done any writing for d3football this year, but do I have a macro approach to the whole division.  It probably looks micro to Rowan opponents, but I don't understand why we can't hope for better outcomes, criticize play calling, refs etc. like other fans all around the country.

Part of the problem is that other NJAC teams (except Cortland) don't seem to maintain regular posters, so the NJAC board looks very Rowan centric.  I'd rather have a bunch of Kean, TCNJ, WPU, Buff St posters to banter with.

We also have a diehards like 4mer and RUFan.  You can't tell them anything.  They even argue with other Prof fans.  But every team has those.  They are part of the mix.

When Rowan loses we congratulate the other team, always have.  I should have done it after the Montclair game, but I'm not perfect.

This is a profound line.  Did you think of it yourself?

To me, this argument isn't over until its over.  I just gotta put one foot in front of the other and win one for the gipper.

Did you forget that a team never loses just because of the referees?

I don't know about you jose, but all this arguing makes me feel like loving a man!

JT - great response.  I have been familiar with your work for a number of years now and have always thought it was good.  Unfortunately you probably get lumped in with the guys that can only come up with gay jokes for arguments.

That being said, you are a Rowan fan and there are a lot of us that are Ithaca fans...we can actually be fans and knowledgeable at the same time.  I think there are a lot of you guys who assume we are young and ignorant.

As for you experience/knowledge of other teams and regions.  I don't know whether that was a shot at jose or just a defense of yourself.  But, I for one have seen a lot of D3 football.  I actually grew up in Cortland and used to attend cortland games and saw a lot of great Cortland/Rowan battles in the 90's.  I went to Ithaca, covered the team and the region and moved to Minnesota after college and covered St Johns and the MIAC.  I have seen NWC teams, Iowa teams, WIAC, SCIAC, NESCAC, LL and others.  I don't know if this is really relevant, but I figured if we are sharing resumes, then I'd share mine too.

Also - not to speak for Jose, but he's seen his share, is very knowledgeable and if he wasn't in Florida, I imagine he'd being seeing a lot more nowadays too.

Actually I've read a lot of your stuff.  I don't have a problem with you.  Sometimes I wish I knew less about officiating.  When I bitch about officiating it probably looks a lot like sour grapes.  I complain about bad officiating when Rowan wins too.  Bad machanics drive me crazy.  As a crew, if they're sloppy with the basics (positioning, hustle, spots) then they are more prone to mistakes.  How do you not watch the QB while he's being rushed?  In 29 years of playing, coaching, ref'ing, and watching it, I've never seen that.  Then they took a touchdown off the board.  Which is error number two.  Better officials then me have always said you never change what you didn't see.

Score wise it cost Rowan the game, performance wise Rowan didn't deserve to win the game.  Sometimes teams win games they don't deserve to win. For the Profs it didn't materialize last Saturday.  You have to overcome officiating.

As for Jose,

I'll answer his E8 write something about Montclair on my site.  Just look to the right hand column where Rowan is listed at 5-2 and in the NJAC standing where the Profs have been moved to second place in the NJAC standings. Or how about the link to the d3football.com poll that mentions Rowan's slide to No. 17.

I'll write about Montclair.  I'll email when you when I do.  I was busy on Sunday and I'm busy this week.  And at times, I find myself playing catch up. I also thought it might be better to cool off before writing it.  A lot of people read my site.  It not affiliated with Rowan, but Rowan administrators believe it does reflect PR on the school.  Piss them off or Montclair off and I lose the access that I worked hard to attain.

Maybe I can crank it out next week.

Pick Em's For Week #10 Are On The Pick Em Board.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

tecmobowler

Don't post on this board much, but I just wanted to mention how mean it was of those cheating refs to cheat out those nice boys from Rowan.  I was near the sideline and heard one of the refs whisper, "I hate Rowan and their ugly uniforms.  I'll do anything to stop them from winning."  And wouldn't you know, they did!? Cheating cheaters!
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

You know what makes me crazy ? Montclair has 4 individual players on the  D3 Football Team Of The Week and not one Montclair poster mentioned it. So in ay event : Congratulations !!!
