Brockport got to the East Finals with their third string QB in 2002 (they won at Rowan to get there)...it can be done with good defense.

Kick hit the post. Easily could've gone the other way. Kid's been solid all year. Egad!!  Punter exceptional, kick returns exceptional. Man, punter had Rowan in shadow of its own goal post throughout the fourth quarter.

18 punts in todays game.......cotland ran for 111 rowan ran for 20........cortland threw for 65 and rowan threw for 115

just returned home from one of the best games i saw in a long time.
defense ruled the day  both d-lines were outstanding. they might sitll be playing if not for a perfect play action pass. rowan ran from that formation every time during the game no cortland defenders within 20 yards of the reciever.
Rowan still must win next friday night  win the conf.
would like to thank the njac offical who came into our locker room this week and removed the championship plaque to give to cortland today
PLEASE RETURN IT TO WHERE IT BELONGS

A great game by both teams today and thankfully RU came out on top in what was a defensive battle. Officiating was good as I think there was only about 6-7 penalties most of the game.

The QB situation for Cortland is as follows from what I heard:

The 2nd QB had stitches in his hand from a prior injury that reopened during the game.

The 3rd QB broke his thumb and index finger in 3 places on a sack.

The 4th QB got welcomed to D3 football in a not so positive manner. Deer in headlights puts it mildly.

Haas for Cortland is a stud and is well deserving of his All-American honors. Good luck next week against the wayover rated Bombers.

thats not right dr.

After all the BS the RU faithful put up with this week from the Cortland faithful and the Ithaca Morons, this was a very mild statement.

Cortland was very 1 dimensional today and the RU D figured their formations out in the 2nd half. I know a field goal was missed by Cortland, but along with that, an RU WR dropped a sure touchdown in the 2nd half and a long punt return was called back on a (suspect) illegal block call also. Overall, the officiating was good as I don't think there were anymore than 8 penalties called for most of the game. I don't recall there being not even 1 Oline holding call, which for a D3 game is pretty good.

If my Kean University Cougars were to win their final game (The College of NJ) can we get a bid into the NCAA playoffs??? ???

Dr.xgsc,

I caught most of the game today via the radio.  This defensive unit for Rowan is just incredible.  What do you make of that trick play attempt by Rankin?

I may make it down on friday.

nice one for the profs.

No. Not when you lose 3 DIII games and one of them is to the Merchant Marine Academy.
