Dr.xgsc,

I caught most of the game today via the radio.  This defensive unit for Rowan is just incredible.  What do you make of that trick play attempt by Rankin?.......

It was a bit bizzare to say the least as both plays with the formation were very close together and Cortland didn't fall for the trickery. Though it was nice to say some creativity from the O coordinator. The touchdown call in OT was brilliant as RU ran the same formation for many plays in the game, and the Cortland D really sucked in on the run play action. Migliore was open by 20 yards.

thats not right dr.

After all the BS the RU faithful put up with this week from the Cortland faithful and the Ithaca Morons, this was a very mild statement.

Cortland was very 1 dimensional today and the RU D figured their formations out in the 2nd half. I know a field goal was missed by Cortland, but along with that, an RU WR dropped a sure touchdown in the 2nd half and a long punt return was called back on a (suspect) illegal block call also. Overall, the officiating was good as I don't think there were anymore than 8 penalties called for most of the game. I don't recall there being not even 1 Oline holding call, which for a D3 game is pretty good.

1) you posted something that was not factual. i called you out. doesnt have to be anything more then mild
2)all i saw all week was cortland posters giving the rowan team nothing but respect so i have absolutely no clue what you are talking about.
3)cortland was one dimensional because we didnt have our starting QB
4)of course the refs were good today in your opinion, you won

Dr. xGSC

cstate,

1) I posted something that was conveyed to me by a parent of a Cortland player. As for calling me out, I thought you were saying it wasn't right about the deer in headlights part.
2) That's laughable that you can even type that response. Some were, but most were far from respectful. You are the exception, so apology given.
3) It's not great losing your starting QB. We know the feeling. Injuries occur and backups have to step up and do their job.
4) We won because we were the better team today. The refs were good for both teams. They let both teams play the game and really did not affect the outcome.

there is a pretty big difference between backups stepping up and doing their job and having your 4th stringer in at the games most important position

Ex D3:

However, if Kean applied for ECACs, they might get a game there.  Widener or Delaware Valley could be logical opponents and an ECAC bid for Kean is a very nice step forward.

Phil,

You are going to love it in Texas.  The only thing better than seeing cortland state fans make excuses after a loss is listening to the dallas cowboy fans make excuses after a loss.  Its very entertaining.

Yes, I agree. There is a major difference between 2, 3 & 4 QB. Your 2 & 3 did not do much when they were in the game. Especially after all the hype about the 2 doing well the past few game. But more importantly, your D did not keep our O from getting into the endzone in OT. And your Oline did not keep your 4th QB out of harms way when needed in OT.

RowanTexan,
+K to you just because you really need it.

1.I have a few problems...I do not remember one of us cortland guys being disrespectful to any rowan people, or the rowan team, i would love to see that post.....we said all week it was going to be a tough game, and it was just like we thought
2. ur right they do happen, and thats not an excuse, we had a chance to win the game but, missed a field goal.....but, when ur 4th string qb has to come in to a game like this, and he is only a freshman thats a huge advantage to rowan....
3.you won the game, where u the better team???eh, they are evenly matched...the cortland d played a hell of a game.....as did the rowan d.....this game down to special teams like we thought it would....
4. This isnt an excuse, but the ref's did not do a good job, they call a pass interference on a tipped ball???? and then there was the muffed punt by the rowan player, that cortland recovered and they claimed he didint touch....if he didnt touch it why was he running after it, thats not what u do on a punt.....that you dont touch......

Bottom line, rowan won, they played a great game and got some breaks to go thier way...after all its still rowan, down season or not...a down rowan team is better then most teams in the country on their best day....my hats off to rowan....see you in the playoffs

playoffs here come

Worst.Playoff.Team.Ever.

portgrad2004

You have a lot of ba**s beating up Rowan after your 3-6 Brockport team dropped Rowan  because they got tired of losing to them.  Its a shame that you can't play Morrisville State every week. ;)

Oh, regarding your statement about Worst Playoff Team Ever,  if RU beats Willy P next week, they may well be, in your opinion (which doesn't amount to spit),  the worst playoff team in history but you know what ...... they'll still be a playoff team .... which is something that your  Eagles aren't! ;D

xdragon58 & cstate19

Why don't you 2 stop crying.  The game is over.  RU lost Orihel last year and went to the semi-finals.  Make do with what you have .... just like RU did.  I hate to be the one to break your bubble but this is a collision sport .... players get hurt unfortunately.

Your kicker missed a FG .... RU had a WR in full stride drop a sure TD pass .... what's your point?  You're being a little harsh on your FG kicker!  Why
didn't your offense score more points when your starting QB was in .... then it doesn't come down to the missed FG.

The refs weren't the greatest and made questionable calls both ways.  If you find solace in thinking that you guys got screwed .... so be it.  Whatever floats you boat!

xdragon58

RU Fan, where was I crying? ??? Can you not read, i gave rowan all the credit in the world for being a great team, u rowan fans are all the same, ur team loses its someone elses fault....u win and everything is perfect and everyone else cries according to u guys....read it again, i said they played great, i know the qb is no excuse and thats football, but when rowan lost him, did they start a 4th string freshman.......again hats off to the rowan players and coachs.........
