xdragon58.....thanks for the link.  Is the Jug a real Jug that goes back and forth between the Schools with the winner having it for a year?

Anybody help me here....the NJAC has two teams from NY and one from Western Conn.  Within an hour ride from Rowan there are a few teams in Delaware and several teams from Pa. in D3 football.  Why can't D3 football Colleges/Universities within an one hour ride of Rowan or TCNJ in Pa. and Delaware form a bi-or-tristate conference?  Would be a lot cheaper with transporation costs.  This is not a "Rowan is afraid of Cortland" post.  Going from Rowan to upstate New York is a long ride.

Hiring a hit man may be cheaper but doesn't change the bias against fathers in divorce.  There is a father (retired Air Force fighter pilot and highly decorated) who is in jail in Albany for Non-Violent actions for picketing Senator Hillary Clinton's office to request a meeting with her to discuss with her the bias against fathers and a presumption of equal and shared custody for both parents.  He did this 27 times before he was sentenced.  He is doing 90 days and has refused to eat.  He is being forced fed through his throat 3 times a day.   He told his supporters that it is saving his teeth by force feeding.

The courts of New York allowed the mother of his son (Junior by name)  to move to California with new hubby.  He very rarely has contact with his son who has stated he wants to live with his father.  But he pays tons of child support from service pension.  His son could have been a football player in the State of New York.

If any of you upstate New York folks want to send him a letter, writing paper, or envelopes stamped speak out.  If could happen to your son.

I officiate HS wrestling.  Officiated Garren's matches a few times.  He has alot of controlled intensity.  Having to sit for 13 other matches you could tell he got antzy.  He got a scholarship to wrestle.  He pays his way at Rowan to play football.

I was foolish to plan past the William Paterson game Friday night.

Profs-fan,
Sure is a Cortaca Jug, in fact several as room for the winning team name has dictated. Jug challenge began in the '50s at behest of two players who were friends, a player at CState and one at IC. Ithaca holds a pretty fair edge, though Cortland has won of late. Series really took off in late '80s upon football revival at Cortland. Don't know if you're aware, but there was a time in early '80s when CState nearly dropped football because it wasn't competitive and was becoming expensive! Imagine that ....

It is very easy for me to imagine that.

That is why I said hitman.  The laws for divorce are antiquated.  Most were enacted  when women couln't own property or vote.  Now they make their own money. They own property, run businesses and in many cases, are just as successful as men.

I don't excuse the deadbeat Dad.  But any father that wants to be in their kid's lives should be able to.  Any parent that uses kids as a bargaining chip ought to be shot.

I have friends that can't see their kids that much either.  These are great guys and they are getting railroaded.  The house, the cars etc., ALL GONE. They can't even be certain the money they send every month is being spent on the kids.

I've been quiet since the win against Willy P last Saturday. I'm just really upset with the Coach and the Administration at Montclair. Below will probably viewed as politically incorrect, but here goes :

To be honest with everyone I thought Montclair would go 8-2 or 7-3. I definitely thought we would split with Springfield & Salisbury and hopefully split with Rowan & Cortland (8-2) 0r if we lost to Rowan & Cortland (7-3). I have really supported this team, and the more support you show, the more you get kicked in the butt. This is a young team and is really going to be good  and can develop into a playoff team down the road. I talked to a bunch of people at Wrightman Field last Sat and people said (1) we will go to the ECAC, (2) we will not go to an ECAC because we would have to pay a fee, and (3) too much pratice after a 10 game season.
Then Coach G is quoted in the Sunday Bergen Record, the team has decided not to go to the ECAC and we strive for the NCAA'S. What a crock of S&*t. I realize we have to be invited to the ECAC'S and must win this week for that shot. You get involved in something and they just stab you in the back. Nice way to build confidebce in a young team. I have a lot of things going on and sacrifice some of my weekends, but after the quote of Coach G I won't make the trip to Conn. They probably can care less, but those are my thoughts. BY THE WAY ONE MORE THING, WHY DID YOU GO TO THE ECAS'S LAST YEAR? THIS WAS NOT MONTCLAIR'S FRIST APPEARANCE, AND LOW AND BEHOLD THE MSU FIELD HOCKEY TEAM IS GOING TO THE ECAC'S. WAY TO BUILD FAN SUPPORT !!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Did the Montclair football team apply for the ECAC's?  If they didn't even apply, they won't be invited.

JT,

It really doen't matter. Coach G said it all in the Bergen Record on Sunday. Like I said before, what a way to develop confidence in the program and their fans. Can't figure this one out, but it reallt sucks. Good luck to Rowan, time to get their O figured out. It's time to go dancing, get ready and don't overlook Willy P. Gotta go vote !!!

Dr. xGSC

Rams,

No problem with your venting and I hope you feel better letting off some steam. I know that RU/GSC never had intentions of ECAC games for football and I wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it has something to do with filing timelines, etc. An extra game would be nice for those teams who could qualify for ECAC but not for NCAA. Not sure if ECAC provides some financial support? Anyone know this answer?

+ k to you for taking care of the Pick em.
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

Why is this board so long? It won't fit in my browser. Is this happening to anyone else?

(Note: This post has nothing to do with Rowan. Please don't smite me.)

Someone posted a really long link.  We have to get to a new page for it to return to normal.

bman

I vote (pardon the pun today)that Rowan go to the ECAC and WU take their place...but then again we couldn't even beat Salisbury...

Disclaimer

This note is only intended to fill space and scroll the page...except for the part about Rowan going to the ECACs.

cortland stays #2 in the ATR east........wow

From our Eastern "Around the Region" scribe referring to Rowan:
Now, let's see them get it done in the upcoming weeks, and hopefully they get into the playoffs based on merit, not based on previous years of success.

A curious statement for even he must know a win vs. William Paterson clinches the NJAC and the automatic bid for the Profs. A loss and they're finished – no decisions based on previous years success needed.

I know that it's difficult to write the "Around the Regions" column but that comment was baseless.

It sounds like our boy Adam is just another Rowan or might I say NJAC hater.  His E8 and NY bias have been obvious in most of his writings.  It's a sleeper everytime I read it.  Didn't JT cover the ATR section at one time.
