It sounds like our boy Adam is just another Rowan or might I say NJAC hater.  His E8 and NY bias have been obvious in most of his writings.  It's a sleeper everytime I read it.  Didn't JT cover the ATR section at one time.

it's all about what you know. When JT started the column was Jersey Central. It improved alot with some knowledge of the other conference (and constant badgering of posters).

As for rowan haters... Rowan in the historically top team in the east, and when they are not blowing out opponenets it gets magnified beyond proportion. Wouldn't you agree? there are a lot of teams on the playoff bubble that get less press than rowan, that should be a good thing for rowan fans... they are expected to be there.

Hey Gro,
That was a well thought out response.

1+k for the effort.

It still doesn't make Adam any less bias.

Dr. xGSC

Well stated Gro. +k to you (not that you need any though).
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

It will take Adam some time like it took JT some time to learn about the other conferences.

Any plans on the NJAC pulling a liberty league and changing the name to reflect its multi-stateness (yeah that's a word) or are some of these schools football only?

phil

All the non-Jersey teams are football only.

realistic

the E8 has the same problem with football, but since all of the other sports (until Stevens Institute joins) are NY, I think they'll keep Empire 8....even when it goes higher than 8.

Some of the old guard coaches Giancola, Hamilton, and others have mentioned that if the non-New Jersey teams display a long term commitment to the conference that they'd be willing change it.   Something Eastern or Tri-State something.  At least that's what they told me at media day.

I believe you were taken to the woodshed in the LL for the 1st 4-5 columns. And you didn't know much of the Shoes game. But that turned around.

phil

I don't know if anyone's aware of how "bad" TCNJ's loss to Buffalo was last weekend.  After coach Hamilton went for – and missed – a two point conversion to go up by three in the final quarter, Buffalo scored and made the two point conversion to go up by 7 with a minute left in the game. The Lions then drove, scored and kicked the extra point to tie the game with seconds left.

Question 1) Do you attempt a two point conversion when you already have the lead? Ever?

Then in the first overtime Buffalo failed to score and TCNJ took over and drove to the one yard line and had first and goal. Three running plays later it was fourth and goal from the one. TCNJ then inexplicably faked a field goal (which would have been shorter than an extra point). The play failed miserably and they went to the second OT. TCNJ scored immediately and the kicker (brimming with confidence after what happened moments earlier), missed the extra point. Buffalo scored, converted and won.

Question 2) Has anyone, anywhere seen a college team pass up a game-winning field goal attempt from the one yard line? Ever?

Lately it really bites to be a TCNJ football fan. I never thought I'd say this, but thank god for Rutgers (at least until Thursday night).

I can only imagine the faces on the players when the coach said, "Guys, we're not going to kick the gimme field goal, we're going to win in style with a TD!  Who's with me?"

That coach should be drawn and quartered.

You have to find a comfort zone. And I found ways to keep the information flowing in a managable fashion.  Google alerts rock!  It was hard work most weeks, but I had a lot of fun.

Been a little busy this year, but I'd like to do a feature or two and some broadcasting next year.

I think a few other factors like SUNY Morrisville and/or Brockport taking the NJAC plunge down the road, would encourage a comference name change.

I was hoping they'd come along with Buffalo state, but I guess we'll see if it happens... Basically, Morrisville played exclusively ACFC and NJAC teams this year, and would look like they are heading in one of those two directions...
