good stuff JT thx for the quick history i didnt know that about rowan....i did look back and your right earlier rowan uni's were worse...the white shading on the numbers does help the brown and yellow.....maybe some new lettering style would help ....go with a big R on the helmet although the color scheme might be a little crazy looking...with your background you could design the new lettering and letterhead for the university

Rowan just updated the logo and mascot this year, so it might be a while before the next update.  The football team tweaks the uni's very couple of years.

New look mascot:

New logo:

That's actually not bad comparatively to what I've seen in the past!

Certainly an upgrade over this:

Which Coach Accorsi referred to as the "Fat Chicken".  He hated this thing.

I've got a friend that lives in Berlin NJ. He tells me that Rowan has some hot women on that campus. Is this true??
The women at Rowan were pretty hot kubiack back in my day.  I happened to be in a fraternity while I was there so there was alot of interaction with sororities, which had some real hotties.  I met my first future ex wife there!

Congrats to the Profs on another title.

Whatever happens in the playoffs, they are still the standard for excellence in the East.

Pat,

Nice shot of the Profs and the NJAC trophy.  Wish I could have helped you out and finally met face to face.  I had no shot leaving NYC at 5pm.  Maybe I'll see you down the road.  Finally met Keith last week.

On Thursday I had a lunch at a Chinese place with a few Rowan staff people..  My good luck cookie said "To be succesful in life you must know where the Goalposts posts are located."  I called Jay and no answer.   I called Bodine (special teams in charge guy) about my message in the cookie.

I thought the message was a Divine message from above.  Wrong.

Hopefully the Prof's will again repeat as the Beast of the East.  If not I will
have to do Christmas shopping with my new bride.

No problem. Perhaps we'll see you and the Profs at Springfield next week.

Yeah, totally just guessing. Too many games still out today. :)

Thoughts on Cortland State making the post season?  They have to be in, don't they?
To succeed, one must be creative and persistent.  John H. Johnson

Looking at that pic on the front, it looks like the NJAC needs to come up with a better trophy than that. It looks like someone stole the Employee of the Month plaque from the Walgreen's. Congratulations to Rowan and good luck in the playoffs.

I'm thinking Cortland is out ... and UW-LaCrosse, Franklin or perhaps St. John's.

If Cortland doesn't get in, that would be a big screw job IMHO.  Also, Rowan deserves to be in among the top four seeds.  The Profs should have a home game in round one, given Union's loss to RPI and Cortland's defeat of Ithaca.

BTW D1-AA Robert Morris finished at 7-4 and in second place in their conference.  During the season they beat at least one team ranked in the D1-AA top 25. Remember Rowan doesn't play Harwick, Utica, Norwich, WPI, Becker, Endicott etc.  Something should be said for how tough the NJAC is.

If it were me setting the bracket:

1. Wilkes
2. Springfield
3. St. John Fisher
4. Rowan
5. Hobart
6. Cortland
7. Union
8. Curry
