Just got back from last port in Turkey. Great deals on cotton products (was told that Turkey is second only to Egypt in quality), leather (most Italian leather goods actually made in Turkey) and handmade carpets.

Site seeing was also good.

Best line of the day was from a local merchant:

"My frrriend, my frriend, I got best deal on genuine fake watches.... Rolex..."

Talk about an oximoron.

Anyway I'm glad the Profs pulled it out.  The question remains whether I'll be able to go St. John Fisher.  I get in Friday at about 9pm and its 316 miles to Pittsford from my house.  It looks like it will be my second straight East final stuck listening on the web  :'(

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

Greater Rochester International Airport. Where the name is bigger than the airport.

True...I always get a kick out of the "International" part. In reality, only the Canadian flights make it that, unless you wamt to include all those people that travel outside the USA, start at a domestic airport, thus international it is! I forget the airport, there is one I flew into that had "international" in its name, and I think you had to make two connections before you could even get a flight that left the country!

I saw the thread earlier...Rowan fans...definitely check out Dinosaur Barbecue right on the Genesee River. Probably no more than a 10 minute drive from Fisher.

Almost forgot...If you want a Garbage Plate from Nick Tahoes, a few pointers to make the experience truly rememberable:
1. Go to the original location on West Main.
2. Go there at least later than midnight
3. Do not ask them to hold the onions. The temperature is supposed to be in the 30's with snow showers Saturday, and you may need the warmth of your burps in the stands.
4. Be adventurous...Get hot dogs AND Eggs!

RowanTexan:

Sticks and Stones, etc., etc, etc.   That MAC board is kind of fun .... those guys love me! ;D    Its almost as interesting as my many avid admirers out on the NW Board.

I have to check out how things are going out there.  I don't think that its Happy Valley out in Oregon these days!

Congrats on the win Rowan.  Good luck vs SJF this weekend.
To succeed, one must be creative and persistent.  John H. Johnson

Thanks.  Having a great time.  Never been to Italy, Greece or Turkey.  Fiancee would never go for a flight to Rochester.  Especially after an 11 day cruise.  Funny... my heart is certainly with the Profs, but given my vacation experiences, I haven't been able to get my head into the playoffs since Hobart.

I should be chewing antacids come Saturday at about 12pm while listening on the web.

JT -

Hope your vacation has been a good one.  Haven't been to any of those countries either but did a cruise once from Lisbon to London that was pretty sweet.

Congrats on making it to the 3rd round.  The close call against Wilkes gave made me think the woulda coulda again.

So it goes.  Good luck vs. SJF!
