He's extremely physical and runs 4.55-4.6.  Could be a Keyshawn type if teams want to give him a shot.  Surprised he couldn't make headway at East Carolina.  None of his contemporaries (WR at EC) are still playing.

Considering Carolina just gave Keyshawn his walking papers, they might be interested (but then again, Carolina has drafted an entire SoCal WR corp, so maybe the Jets will take a gander?)

I'd expect Phil Silva to get some more looks too.  He was released right before NFL Europe broke camp earlier in April.  He has the physical tools.  And he wowed one of the scouting services last year.  He just needs to learn. A patient team might pick up a gem.  The Jets were impressed with his work ethic.

From www.nflanswers.com :

WR Phil Silva Rowan:
Height - 6' 02.6"
Weight - 211 lbs.
Hands - 8 3/4"
Reach - 32 3/8"
225 Bench Press - 15
Long Jump - 10' 5"
Vertical - 40"
10 yard - 1.50
20 yard - 2.52
40 yard - 4.39
Shuttle - 4.03
3 Cone - 6.84

I justed watched a DVD on this kid, which we will have available for viewing in a few days! I have only one thing to say!

WOW!

He has great hands!
He is extremely hard to tackle!
He is great at coming back, going up, and going out to get a ball thrown off his route!
He has just joined WR Brandon Marshall as one of my most underrated WR's in the draft!

QB Mike Orihel indicated to me that his agent thinks there a good chance he'll get a free agent offer.

And Heimerl should get an offer too.

Well, graduation is taking place this weekend for most schools.

Are you ready for some Football, I sure am !!!!!!!!!!

I think I have figured out everyones scheduel for the NJAC and my comments are as follow :

Montclair - Toughest scheduel. (4) potential top 25 teams. Rowan, Cortland, Wilkes and Springfield. Out of conference Wilkes, Springfield & Salisbury.
Rowan - Next toughest, Wilkes, Widner, and CNU out of conference.
Cortland - Next toughest, Brockport, Morris and Ithaca out of conference.
Buff St. - Then Fisher, Morrisville and Brockport out of conference.
Willy P. - Then  Wilkes, Kings P. and FDU out of conference.
Kean - Then Albright, Kings P. and Morrisville out of conference.
TCNJ - Then Muhlenburg, FDU and LaSalle out of conference.
W. Conn - Then St. Peters, Iona and Morrisville out of conference.

The NJAC will be very tough this year. The top (4) will be Montclair, Rowan, Cortland, and Kean. Then don't forget about TCNJ, and W.Conn always tough and ready to upset anybody. Willy p and Buff St always getting better. Should be a great year.

Without knowing the recruits, Here is my predictions :

1. Cortland     9-1
2. Montclair    8-2
3. Rowan       8-2
4. Kean          7-3
5. W. Conn    6-4
6. TCNJ          6-4
7. Willy P       4-6
8. Buff St       3-7
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

PBR...

good stuff rams...well thought out (imho) interesting you have kean finishing with that good of a record i was thinking more of .500 record for them.

I think Kean has the second easiest out of conference schedule to W Conn.

Stalker,

Kean, Willy P and  W.Conn do not have such tough out of conference games, but is it really their fault? I'm not sure. I would love to hear other comments.

W Conn could have done better, there is better regional competition for them they probably could have scheduled.  St. Peters?  They may be D-IAA but they are a step below what NJCU used to offer.

Stalker,

Can't argue, but you never know who turns them down.

I thought my post on the NJAC would get a few more responses then just Stalker and PBR. Oh Well. The Liberty League Posts have been pretty interesting. Maybe some of the Rowan guys will chime in.

What happened to Montclair and Rowan playing the last game of the year? Now it's Montclair / W.Conn and Rowan / Willy P.  I think JT mentioned something like the Block Scheduel, last year. It makes no sense to me. Any comments?

Cortland will have a little bit of a drop-off after graduating just about their entire defense. It won't be the same team w/o Stef Sair, Matt Montpetit and Adam Haas.
