I'll do the bragging than...Our defense dominated you!! throw the stats out the window...at no point did I think you guys had a shot even when you had good field position. The tailback was good, one of the receivers ran very good routes but your o line was def not getting it done, they were just to slow especially number 75... wow he was bad!! If you read my prior posts I mentioned time and time again that Wilkes will not be able to handle the team speed and it showed all game!!

Good luck the rest of the season

NICE !!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Just back from an Up-State NY trip. What happened to the Grizzly Guy? Thanks for the back-up. Sounds like the guys will be ready for Springfield. Lets git-r-done !!![/quote]

Dan P,
Do you have any dirt on the Brockport game for Saturday.  I know its only Wed but I hate Brockport, their crusty field, those green uniforms, and that rotten ride to their school.  The only good thing at Brockport is that phat dinning hall.

i'm sure this is supposed to grab the attention of someone like me, right?

PG04,
Bport was the only team that beat us all 4 of my years at Cortland other than Rowan.  I have bad dreams of flea flickers and missed field goals due to Brockport.  Currently, I have 2 kids playing up there that played for me in HS.  I hope they play well if they get some burn but I am pulling for a C State win.

"Taste It"  has its roots dating back to 1998 when Cortland was trying to match its 97 season with another trip to the NCAA's.  You have to want it so bad you can "Taste It" type thing.  We had out grey T's with the slogan on it and you could imagine what conversations that struck up amongst the females when they would ask " Taste what"?

I know. But it was amusing at the bottom of dining hall discussion posts. :)

Youre right you were unlucky to be around during the port's Upward years.  And the dining hall was good comparatively to other schools.  Taste that!

pg04

Ah good memories.  The 4 years I was at Brockport they never lost to the same team twice over that 4 year span...except Ithaca...in the same year.

XREDDRAGON77

We had a tough year in 00.  When we lost to Port 14-0 I wasn't sure if our O was soft but apparently the Port D was sick.  Think that was a 10-0 year for you guys.

Yeah it was undefeated year for them.  I think they only scheduled 8 games that year but yeah, the D during those years was tough.

Not as much recently.  I would say that Cortland should probably win this weekend, as Brockport allowed almost 300 yards on the ground to Salisbury this past weekend.  But the games between the golden eagles and red dragons are almost always close defensive battles it seems.

Pat Coleman

Technically, they scheduled nine, but Mount Ida bailed in midseason.

Grizzman

MSUBGang,

I would not use the word dominate and I didn't think MSU team speed was much better than WU and/or WillyP. I agree our O Line is not jelling at this point and I stated our yds per carry was a main factor. I think we'll get better and we'll have to this weekend.

Bottom Line - we lost, but we were not dominated, game was'nt decided until late Q4.

My apologies to rams1102.

Also - props to the MSU fan running around the parking lot giving out chunks of Kielbase ( spelling??)
