Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Germans?  Pearl Harbor?

KS, -K for not picking up the Animal House reference.

(if I missed the intention of your sarcastic response, please let me know and I will fully restore your K back up)

JU read back a little, I made the initial animal house reference.

I was just replying to the "Was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbor?"  By using the next line in the movie.  You must now complete the following assignment.  Buy a case of beer, and sit down and continously watch animal house until above case of beer has been consumed.

MSUBIRDGANG,

For directions go to the South Board then to the ACFC (Atlantic Central) and a post from Conrad Sept 17th 7:45AM.

See you there !!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Take the delaware memorial bridge and then Rt 13 south to Dover.

No no no --- use the directions cited above. U.S. 13 does go from 95 to Dover but through hundreds of stoplights. Delaware Rte. 1 is practically an interstate.

But watch for the speed trap just north of the bridge. K-Mack and I just avoided getting a ticket. :)

I haven't driven that way in close to twenty years, I just remember that route.  13 didn't have that many stoplights that long ago.  The one time I went to Wesley for a game I slept the whole way there and back.

Widener pregame.  I haven't been to a game yet.  I'll miss this one too.  Anniversary w/e.  I suggested a Weekend trip to Philly, but no dice.  I got the no F'n way look from my better half.

Its beginning to look like my first game will be TCNJ on Friday night 10/5

Pat,

The directions given for route 13 probably aren't as bad as you might think.  Yes, there are stop lights and town, and route 1 has none.  But we are talking about RACE WEEKEND here in Dover.  That is when the COUNTY, not the city, doubles in size for the weekend.  Yes, that right 140,000 new faces roaming the roads in our area.

I do know this much... The route 1 exit for North Dover will be backed up to Smyrna.  Route 13 from Smyrna to Dover will be backed up.  So, either way will cause you to lose some time.

Will you be able to leave at the crack of dawn and miss some of it??  Maybe.  When you do get to Dover, please do not travel down 13 to state street.  Take Scarborough Road to Walker Road (left) to Pear Street.  Then turn on William or Clara for the Stadium.

I don't envy any of you coming this way... from any direction this weekend!  Good luck on the drive and be carefull.

dedragon

Well, now that I think of it, we're talking about Saturday, not Sunday.  Expect half of what I said.

Sorry.  You are welcome to give me minus karma...

MSUBIRDGANG

I really think NASCAR should consider rescheduling this race. Don't they know that two top 25 UNDEFEATED teams are going head to head?? And this could have serious playoff implications later on down the road?? Don't they??!!...I feel like I am taking crazy pills.... >:(

Put into perspective the traffic...Like is this similar to that of getting off of work on a Friday and going down the shore (Jersey Shore) when it is Memorial Day weekend?   2 hours bumper to bumper...

No problem.

They should try to siphon off some of the fans that aren't attending the Busch race and get them to Wesley.

There used to be a great dingy run down dive bar just south of Smyrna that I would stop at for lunch on drives back to Norfolk from NJ.

I have been driving bow for 13 yrs, actually watched  alot of Rt 1 being built over the years and sitting in that shore or race traffic. There are many ways to get to Dover from Wilmington. For me it was either find a few new routes or take 4 hrs to go 100 miles.
You who get to the game may even here the cars on the track. And if you are real lucky get to experience the siren!!!!! WOOOOOO
