I remember my freshmen year we had a similar situation when Jersey City State came to play us, ah well we still got it done. Short week for MSU enjoy today and tomorrow all the focus is on College of New Jersey... Not going to be an easy road at all the conference is extremely tough. I think it is safe to say that MSU is battle tested and now its time to bring the same intensity to the NJAC...This truly is a testement to the fine job Coach G, O, Agresta, big Al, Skee and the rest of the staff does with these young men getting them game ready and beleiveing in the system.

What did you think of the improvements to the field and Wesley overall?

And the Million dollar question is did Fronjian PUSH OFF on his TD????

I too agree that the ref's should have been there well before 4pm.
Someone has some (spaining to do lucy) ;D

Sounded like Wesley really dominated the second half. Well except for some miscues!!! Story of the year,, Turnovers

The field is really great. Looks like a million dollars. ;) Nice job spending the $. A big change from 2001.

My daughter remembered the young man that passed away. She knew him as a freshman and a great guy. A very sad story.

Re the push off, there were a lot of calls that could have went either way. I went crazy when 92 put a late hit on McCoach in the 4th in front of the ref and no call. Boy that guy was huge.

Beavers and #33 great players.

Wesley appears to have men playing a kids game. Big, quick and fast. When they got inside our 40 yardline, you knew that was 4 down territory. They have a sort of swager.

Looking at the #'s Wesley dominated, but we wanted it more. I hope we can keep up the intensity. Good luck the rest of the year.

XDragon-

5 blocked punts in 3 games, 2 returned for touchdowns.  And no, Buffalo State isn't an elite NJAC team.

I think expectations for Cortland this season need to be realistic.  They remind me somewhat of the 2003 team, with a lot of good young players lacking experience, and just a handful of veterans to lead the team.  I'm not saying there is anybody running around there who looks like Stef Sair, but there is a lot of speed and size in the freshman class.

If we end up with 7 wins and an ECAC bid, we should be thrilled.  If this were PTI on ESPN, Tony Realli would start the Over-Under discussion at 6 wins.  And Wilbon would push.   :P

Even though I was doing a 3 day w/e without TV, internet, etc in Stowe, VT, I didn't expect this score.  I thought it might be a little closer 28-14... 31-17.  My Dad said Rowan had too much speed for Widener.

I honestly don't think it was a speed issue....although that certainly didn't help.
I would say that it was size (to an extent) that was more of an issue, and certainly offensive and defensive line play was the key...

RU was creating big creases for the running backs and that little QB to get big gains...

My Dad mentioned that he thought the Widener oline was slow.  Frankly I'm getting ansy... I haven't seen a game this year.  Got a family function next Saturday.  After that, its back to the important stuff... FOOTBALL for the rest of the season.

How Anniversaries and Birthdays became more important than football, I'll never know.  ;)
