In the past I saw enough D3 games to not give a hoot who wrote the East column. Now, I have to either watch live stats, pick up info on this site or just shrug my shoulders and follow the Texans, Rice, Sam Houston State or U of H (or Woodlands High School — after all this is Texas). As a result, I follow the Around the Regions feature far more than in the past.

While I would certainly love a more balanced column, it's a thankless job (ask JT), and until somebody comes along with the knowledge of the entire region and the time to devote to it, I'm not about to criticize.

How 'bout somebody from the NJAC start with an "Around the NJAC" column here every week? Perhaps Adam might pick up a few cues from that along the way. Not to mention you'd do me a favor. We have Rowan fans and a few MSU fans posting up here — if someone feels Adam is missing the boat, let's start by getting the lowdown on the NJAC!

rams1102, this doesn't mean you. Anybody who runs the "pick ems" is doing plenty already!

Good point Phil.  Adam has done a great job on some quality pieces about some upstate teams.  Maybe there can be two regions, upstate and NJ?

I don't foresee adding another columnist just for eight or nine teams.

This is the way to go.  I started my own "Hobart column" that I distribute amongst former teammates and alumni.  Before the season I even posted a preview of Hobart on the LL board and told Adam he was free to use whatever he needed for his preseason write up.  The prior year when Hobart was facing Rowan in the NCAA playoffs I helped JT co-write a preview as well.

JT's direct quote (more or less) was "I wish more fans would provide info like this"

Keep in mind Adam has a full time job as a sportswriter covering the Saratoga/Albany area (if not nationally) and writes for D3 for FREE.  If you want more NJ coverage my suggestion is that you try and help Adam out and email him some content from time to time.

True, but I would think if there was someone out there that just wanted to write some good pieces on one conference it might benefit the site.......

phil

I didn't mean that Pat should add a writer. I just meant that one of the NJAC regulars might want to supply some prose on a weekly basis within this NJAC room.

Since I haven't been to any DIII games yet, I've had little to add.  I'll be in Glassboro Friday night.  I try to feed relevant stuff to Adam, Keith and Pat ie., scouting players, quotes, pictures when possible.

When I began the ATR in 2003, I had little feel for the other conferences.  By 2004 and 2005 I felt comfortable with the whole region and I think my writing reflected that.  I solicited information from the fans and other posters.

I've been a little busy since moving and my contributions to d3football.com have been less than other years.  I enjoy contributing and expect to continue submitting pictures, writing and broadcasting in the future.

If any of you have some info about your teams: news, injuries, inside stuff send it to the Adam and the other guys.  Forward articles written by other journalists.  Reading other articles used to give me ideas.

Hey everyone,

I'm still sick. I posted the pick em's on the NJAC board. How do you transfer it to the Pick-em board. Thanks.

I should clarify.  I have listened games on the web (in addition to Rowan) and have watched the dcasts.

OK Red Hawks, we have a big one this weekend. Buff St. is having a good year and could easially be 3-1. If we have aspirations to make this year something special, it all starts Saturday. We need to start building momentum and it never stops. If you want it bad enough, make it happen. 110% for 60 Minutes, and here we go. See ya at Sam Mills Field on Saturday.

LETS  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat,

I just sent an e-mail to Adam

Rams,
I never received any e-mail from your address ... at least the one you use to post on this site with. My apologies for not leading with the NJAC, but when a team upsets the No. 5 ranked team in the land, that's what I'm going with.
